Its either the belt slipping .... the motor ....... or the main drum bearing you can take the belt loose and spin the drum and listen for the squeak then spin the motor and listen that should tell you which is causing the squeak

Dryer making squeaking noise, what causes this?

The squeaking could be coming from the idler pulley on the motor, the drum rollers or a worn drum seal. It is not a good idea to spray the rollers with WD-40. The WD-40 will attract lint that will build up and could catch on fire inside the dryer cabinet. A bad drum support roller or any other squeaking component inside a dryer cabinet will normally need to be replaced.

Drum initially starting squeaking. now it will

The squeak was from a bad bearing in the belt tensioner.
replace the roller assembly for the tensioner and the belt too.
The roller has a bearing in it that has gone bad causing this problem

Dryer squeak and back panel is hot? Frigidaire Dryer FDE436RES1

It sounds like you have a rear bearing bad.
as far as over heating check the vent line. Your thermostats are ok or your high limit would blow and you would have no heat.

DRYER SQUEAKS REALLY BAD UNTIL WARMED UP

I took apart the dryer, cleaned and greased the bearing that had no grease left at all(therefore I assumed no easy movement) and it worked.
