Table of Contents errors usually happen if you lose power before the disc is 'finalized' when recording. You cannot unplug the unit before it is done with a disc, or remove it until it is done finalizing. You will see "TOC" flash when you are done recording. When it stops, then you are all set. Try a fresh disc and see if that works.

I plug two roland pk-5a to have 1 octave above the other one but the problem is I can't play in the BASS MODE or MONO MODE with the HOLD function on and stop the note I play on one unit when i play a note...

If you have two MIDI sources that you send on the same MIDI or to the same MIDI sound generator you have to use a "MIDI MERGER" or you will get notes stuck on. A MIDI merger assembles complete messages before sending them to their destination. Without it, the messages are mixed which makes them garbled.

Kenwood MD plays ok but recordings fail to play; U TOC error?

Without a decent Table Of Contents, your MiniDisc will NOT work, as you've found out. Does it matter what brand of MD you use? I would record it at "1X" and NOT 4x speed too. Try erasing a blank minidisc first and then shut off the unit and then turn it back on and see if the TOC works. Try adding a title, then turn it off and back on. Then try the CD to MD.

My USB m-audio keyrig49 stopped working all of a sudden. It still turns on and my mac still recognizes it as a midi device, but when i try playing it in garageband no sound will play and it doesn't seem...

Check your computer setting - You should check play options or similar. You dont ID the computer nor operating system so it is hard to be more specific.

On my Midi Device with USB connection, I have a choice of Microsoft routine or other routine. When set to Microsoft setting, my midi keyboard works.

I hope this helps you

Recorded midi, output set to dtxpress channel 10 no sounds is gen

You have to discover the receive channel for the dtxpress. Try downloading Midiox which is a freeware app that actively displays everything that is happening midiwise in real time.

TOC ERRORa

When you FINISH recording, the Minidisc recorder Writes the TOC (Table of Contents) - so you see it flashing TOC or Update when you finish recording - you need to Leave POWER ON and have the unit on for about 30 seconds for it to finish this. IF you don't, the unit doesn't know where to find the files since there is no TOC. Try a Sony home unit - you might get one more shot at it working with that.

My MIDI won't play back even when I play the file, no matter which program I use to play it. The computer I use is a Compaq Presario, I have Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 on it, and my sound card is SB X-FI...

The default MIDI setting of your PC may have been set for another MIDI device (for example, if Cakewalk Home Studio has been used with a MIDI compatible keyboard). Go to... Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices / Audio / MIDI music playback and change the setting back to your soundcard (and set as default if you prefer).

About 90 % of the time when i put a disc in to play on my logik stereo... it say;s reading for a little while and then disc err.... can you please help ?!? Thank you

The unit can recognize that a disc is present but is having difficulty reading the table of contents (TOC). A simple cleaning using a cotton swab and alcohol of the lens will often fix this problem. Try that and update this if you still are having problems.
