Problem with getting inverter to work...

My boyfriend just purchased this inverter, for the second time for fear the old one wasn't going to work anymore. Using it for a television. We tried both inverters and no lights are showing when plugged into outlet but works when directly plugged to car battery. Didn't read/can't find directions, does this inverter need to be charged first and if so, how??

If you connected the inverter to a care battery and it worked,it means at first you did not connect it to a battery.NB the inverter must be connected to a battery before it works so get a battery connect it to the inverter with the right terminal i.e the red to red or {+ ve}, the black to back or {-ve} ,if you car battery is a 12volts batery get another one like it for you inverter, but remember that your inverter needs to be pluged to a power source for you to be able to charge your batteries

Inverters works from 12v carr battery or backup battery, you can not charge the inverter you msay killed your inverter if you connected to 120v wall use the inverter to give you AC (electric) from 12v battery. if your tv is 12v you need to know how much needed to get the correct connrection as output and input.

Limerick based on Lears nursery rhymes

There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, "It is just as I feared!-
Two Owls and a Hen,
four Larks and a Wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard."

There was a Young Lady of Ryde,
Whose shoe-strings were seldom untied.
She purchased some clogs,
And some small spotted dogs,
And frequently walked about Ryde.

There was an old man in a tree,
Whose whiskers were lovely to see;
But the birds of the air,
Pluck'd them perfectly bare,
To make themselves nests on that tree.

not terribly good in my opinion

For about two months I heard a clacking noise while driving my 2006 Saturn Vue. My boyfriend said it sounded like some thing was just loose. The noise got loader and so I decided to take it to the mechanic...

IT may start if it is not seized after you add oil but if it is making a noise it will be bearing damage and failure will be very close. Get a second opinion as engines are expensive.

The only thing you can do is try one more board. May be there was some manufacturing defect in the board you have purchased. May the next one will work for a long time.

Sharp LC-46SB54U Keeps losing picture intermittantly

i believe your tv is getting overheated, possibly from dust getting onto the electronic components inside. or the inverter board for the lcd panel inside is going bad, alot of times it is the capacitors on the lcd inverter board going bad.

Microwave shuts off after 3 seconds

Although your model number doesn't seem to show up, the NNS950-series units are powered by an high-voltage inverter. And yours has failed. While an inverter (switched-mode power supply) is more efficient from a power consumption standpoint, it is more complex, thus more statistically prone to fail. These should only be examined and worked on by someone who has the necessary technical qualifications. Seriously. Often the machine-soldered connections in a microwave inverter are too weak, so they eventually fail, especially if heat is high in the area. They sometimes fail catastrophically. When not catastrophically damaged, you may hear clicking or squealing and may smell an electrical odor, which is sometimes obscured by the cooling fan. Sometimes a whole new inverter is cheaper than the time and labor required to fix the old one. If a technician is willing and able to troubleshoot and repair the inverter to component level, it will may be expensive, but may be worth it, especially if he or she will resolder and reinforce connections as needed as part of a thorough repair. That could easily make your inverter beter than a new one! You might be able to get some verbal estimates if you call Panasonic-authorized appliance / microwave repair shops and ask then specifically about inverter component-level repair and simple inverter replacement costs for your exact model number.
