    The usb sticks work fine and smooth with the device the device works very well just need help with why it doent recognise e external hard drive all the time.I dont want to have an apple which does not have capability to hold external memory via usb.

    Ok so I have my old external hard drive recognised now but it wont recognise the brand new terrabite hard drive.Need to know if it's because of certain brands it will and won't work with.

LOL, why do you think HP sold tablets for $699 for 7 weeks then told all the retailers to get rid of them for $99? Those little things are nothing but trouble unless you're buying an Apple.

    I would doubt that a 16GB tablet could recognize a Terabyte drive. It Blows its mind. You could not replace the 16GB internal drive with a drive that big.

To connect up a tablet with a laptop you need to connect them with a USB cable.

On plugging in the cable with the tablet powered up, you should see two things.

1. A question on the tablet as to whether you want to use memory disc mode or diagnostic(ADB) mode. Choose Memory disc mode.

2. You should see on the PC laptop it recognise that an external device is connected, it may recognise it as a phone or a memory drive.

If neither of these things is happening it is probably the cable at fault.

The tablet should then start providing the pc laptop with the drivers it requires to be recognised. If this does not happen, then the fault is with the tablet and you have to consult your supplier.

You should end up with at least one memory drive which you can browse through with the PC's file manager. The data will be on the tablet.

When you boot your computer, start up your BIOS, then under the boot menu, make sure USB is listed as the 1st option.

To log into your BIOS, press the "Boot Option" key. It might be F1, F2 or Delete

Unable to get pass login window
External HDs are not usually recognised on boot, however some external CD drives are.. although most of these type of devices have a built in recovery partition, which should allow you to restore this tablet back to factory without having to resort to loading from external devices. try pressing f10 or f11 on boot or look for other messages on bootup to press a key combination if all else fails try looking for instructions on factory reset from the manufacturers website
