Sewing machine Brother Star 120E material does not feed

There has always been a slight problem with this so and so machine (I had a Singer before but was taken by the embroidery, which I have nevere used) I took it to someone who said they mended brother machines but it came back with the same problem, if not worse. Please HELP a "desperate housewife"!

SOURCE: I have a Brother 98-Stitch

I dropped my feed dogs and when I pushed the button to bring them back up, it wouldn't work. I did discover that when you put the button back to the up position and start sewing, the dogs come back up automatically.

Look for a mechanical switch that engages the lower drive mechanism.

SOURCE: cotton breaks on Brother Embroidery Galaxie 2100 machine

Try turning down your top tension setting a bit. If its at 4 or 5, i would turn it down to about 3 ish. Cotton thread is more brittle than polyester and rayon thread.

Hope that helps :)

Feed dog on singer m756 won't pop up

If this is a combo embroidery and sewing machine, the feed dogs have a switch to raise or lower them. If this is just a sewing machine, your feed dog linkage may be broken.

Singer sewing machine

Only a sewing tech can tell you:

If the feed dog height is too low, you have to get it serviced.

It the feed dogs are worn out, you can buy them and put them on yourself, but the repair shop would probably attach a new set while you wait with no labor charge.

Manual for brother vx757 free please

A manual feed is used primarily in freehand embroidery, quilting, and shoe repair. With manual feed, the stitch length and direction is controlled entirely by the motion of the material being sewn. Frequently some form of hoop or stabilizing material is used with fabric to keep the material under proper tension and aid in moving it around. Most household machines can be set for manual feed by disengaging the drop feed dogs. Most industrial machines can not be used for manual feed without actually removing the feed dogs.

Singer sewing machine 6233

have you checked your feed dogs are moving? have you dropped the feed dogs by accident? the feed dogs might need a drop of oil on the moving parts inside your machine.

Machine won't feed material. I have to pull while sewing.

First of all stop pulling that will only bend your needle and cause further problems.

Check to make sure your feed dogs are engaged. There should be a switch somewhere around the sewing area front or back or perhaps under a flat bed attachment.

Hi, have tried to use buttonhole feature on singer 4423. Dog feed teeth have dropped - won't come back up and the material isn't feeding though. Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Reverse feed dogs on Singer 4423 Remove extension table so you can see switch on BACK of machine @ left side. Flip switch to raise feed dogs up. If machine actually sewing in reverse - check n Buttonhole adjustment. Reset it (located bottom right side machine) Jimmy

The feed dog will not advance the material

Call Singer at 1-800-4singer and they will help you. I think a piece of the needle may be stuck in your feed dog
