Nothing comes up on tv when i turn ps3 on and controllers wont connect

When i turn my ps3 on the green light comes on but nothing will come up on screen of tv and when i try 2 connect my controllers the 4 lights just flash for 5 secs then go off and wont connect. then when i try 2 turn ps 3 off by button at front it does nothing it makes the beeping noise and just stays green.
help me please

    Connected HDMI from ps3 to HDMI input to Panasonic tv, but it just gave me a blank screen. put in a blue ray disc to see if it played - blank screen until very end of movie when menu came up . presed play on controller and screen turned blank again. My panasonic supports 1080i but not 1080p (blueray disc?), but even with a standard dvd in the PS3, the screen was blank.

    When i turn my PS3 on...

    Everything works fine except the screen stays blank

    the lights come on and I hear the beeping of the syste coming on

    I was playing GTA IV online and it froze

    i turned it off manually and when i tried to turn it back on

    the screen stayed blank

    mine wont show up on the screen either the green light will come on but nothing else it wont shut off either and I did reset it and that didn't help

    at first when i saw this problem i switched it on and only my background came up no icons and now nothing comes up black screen

    all i had on screen was my coloured background and my controllers wouldnt connect so i did what the first solution said and now i have nothig on my screen

Read this very carefully. Turn off your ps3 from the back. Then turn it back on wait unit the light is red. Turn on the system through the front keep holding the power on. You will hear a beep one time that just tell you that the ps3 is powering on keep holding the button until you hear the second beep this will rest your video setting. If that dosnt work call me at sony

Read the manual carefully. switch pff first then press time on switch to on but hold there for 5 secs . U will hear first beep and then later 2nd beep and by then the setting will switch to standard resolution output and display will come on onscreen

I turn on my ps3 and all that comes up is a ps3 logo for a few seconds and then the tv screen is all green and nothing works?
Verify the connections between the TV and the PS3. I would also try another cable if you have one on hand.
Turn the PS3 off so the red light is showing then press and hold the power button on the PS3 until you hear the second beep that will reset the video setting on the PS3, that may or may not help.
Try the PS3 on another TV this will verify if it is the PS3 that has the problem or the TV.

Hi,

Try this if it will help you to connect the controller

1. Press the tiny Reset Button on the back of the controller

2. Plug in the USB Connection wire

3. Restart Console

4. When loaded, Press the PS Button

5. Disconnect the USB wire

Then it should have recognised the controller and auto-assigned, hope this works for you

Have you had it hooked up to hdmi? And now your trying to play with a/v cables? What model? some models you can hold the power button down until it comes on and shuts off then hold it down again until it beeps twice release power button and a menu should come up for you to reset settings.

I have a ps3 and it doesnt turn on. Ive checked the switch in the back and tryed different outlets but i dont get a light.
How are you trying to turn it on? It wont work with the PS button on your controller first time because to controller wont be connected via Bluetooth. There's a button (pressure sensitive not a push switch) on the front of the console by the BR disk slot. Its also possible it is switching on, does the green light come on at the front of the console come on? If so then you’ve probably not got it set to the right output channel. So it'll be outputting to your analog instead of your HDMI or vice versa. I think the Analog is standard so plug in a scart cable and see if you get something then change to HDMI in your settings.
Otherwise either your cable/tv or ps3 is broke :S

My ps3 doesnt work
if it wont load your icons and freezes before your xmb, put it into safemode and try restoring the filing system. to get it into safemode...

hold down the power button while the console is in standby. the light will go from red to green.it will beep once flash green beep again, and then beep a third time. after the third beep the light will turn red.

once the light is red, take your finger off the power button and place it back on the power button. the light will go from red to green, beep once flash and then beep twice quickly. after it does the double beep, take your finge roff. the light will stay green and you'll get a screen asking you to connect the controller.

after connecting the controller, try option 3, or whichever option is restore filing system. this can possibly correct media loading and will 95% of the time fix the console when it freezes before loading up your icons(the xmb)

My PS3 turns on to green light but nothing comes on screen
After the system boots up, hold your finger down on the metal spot where you normally turn it on. it'll completely reset all settings & hopefully set to the proper video output.

PS3 or LCD TV?
when the ps3 is in standby hold down the power button for over 4 seconds, it runs the optimal screen settings page. hope this helps
