Front load washing machine would not spin now won't wash either.

Bosch wff 210l (7 years old)would not spin cycle on Sunday. All else OK then today Tuesday will not wash as well. Machine fills with water and drains water any body any ideas? I suppose I am a reasonably (in)competent bodger but would appreciate direction, apart from the local supplier to buy new machine. Thank you. Good site practical easy to navigate. Craywater.

Sounds like you have a broken belt or a bad motor. The easiest way to tell if the belt is bad is to reach inside the drum and turn it. If it turns very easily, you probably have a bad belt or something has caused the belt to jump off, such a s a loose pulley or bad bearing. If it feels like there is a good amount of resistance, or a kind of "winding up" noise, then the belt is still on and you likely have a bad motor. Also, you could just scoot the macine out, unplug it, and remove the back cover a look inside to see if the belt is still on the pulleys. Good Luck!

If when the spin cycle is turned on and there is a humming sound but there is no movement the belt is the problem.

My washer was 5 years old and it would fill and drain but, I was not washing or spinning. On my washer, between the motor and the transmission was a plastic coupler that had broken. I took the washer apart and fixed within 1 hour and that part cost me $15.00.

I had exactly that problem. Replaced brushes and put it in spin and it just makes grinding noise then returns to 'ready'

There is no draining & this is why your spin does not work. There is only one belt. First siphon out the water from the machine via your front door. Clean out your outlet filter, check the tube from the tub to the filter. Luckily there shouldn't be a block in your outlet pump

SOURCE: Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x

Beeping on spin cycle

It is most likely out of balance, could be for many reasons.
1 could be too many heavy items such as jeans, towels, etc in one load.
2 could be the machine or floor is unlevel.
3 Could be a balance sensor needs replacing.
