If you have original disks you can change your password back to what you had. But have you tried your password with no caps lock and caps lock. Passwords are case sensitive.
You can easily change password. Put in original disk, restart and hold down C, once it has come up with languages say continue. Top bar appears and in that bar as a drop down is reset password. Close out once you have changed, restart and you will be ready to enter your new password.
I am guessing that you are attempting to use a non supervisor level password. There is usually a facility to set both a user (restricted function) password and a setup password (administrator rights access). You may need to reset the passwords within the bios setup.
open up cmd and type "net user administrator" without quotes, and then that will make you administrator allowing you to change the password to the account. You could also try this command ( net user (name here) (password). Give that a shot.
