I decalcified my DCC 2000 several times and it will start to brew then turn off. I can get it to brew longer if I turn on the Clean cycle, but it still does not run all of the water from the reservoir.

Same problem . Sent my first machine back (less than 1 year old, you pay shipping and handling both ends) and now after 4 months, same issue. Not sure what to do.

Thanks! That's good to know. I found my manual, and decided we hadn't cleaned it recently. I filled the reservoir with 1/3 white table vinegar and 2/3 water. That didn't seem to do anything, So I took a syringe and an IV catheter, (it helps to be in health care) and squirted some of this down "sprinkler". We let it sit a couple of days and every now and then, turned on the coffee maker, and in a couple of days it went. We put it through again withthe same solution (to clean calcium deposits) and then with water a few times to get rid of the vinegar smell. It's been working well for two days now.

I'lm not sure of the model, but it is a Cusinart Coffee Maker with a Glass Pot. It gets power on all lights except the ON/OFF switch, and it willl not brew. Any suggestions, or should I trash it and get a new Coffee Maker. This one is approx. 1 year old. Thanks for your advise.

Turn the function knob to Auto Off
Hold down the hour button til you see the clock display blinking
you can then use the Hour and Minute buttons to program how long you want the coffee maker to stay on.
You can choose from 0 minutes (seems to be what you have it set on now) to 4 hours.

Well, you could try unplugging for an hour. Sometimes that helps, but these have been having a lot of problems (but don't ask their customer service that, they can't admit it but I'm pretty sure they all know it!). I would say call customer service anyway if it's under 3 years old (800-726-0190) after you've unplugged it and let them know what's going on (model and serial # are both located on the bottom of the unit, stamped in the black part). If it's under warranty they can offer you a replacement and from what I hear Cuisinart has been getting in new coffee on demand units (like the one you have) that have fixed the problems. They're on back order right now though, so there will be a wait. Other than that, I would say you don't have many options, unless the store is willing to take it back, because this one is pretty much a goner. Not the first time I've seen it. :(
