My ipod home button is stuck down. how do i fix it?
IPod home buttons fail all the time. If the button feels stuck in the down position, you no longer feel that distinct "pop" then it is a design issue and should be taken to the apple store for warranty work. If the iPod is out of warranty, then there are several shops that service home buttons. If the home button still "pops" as it should, then the issue is with moisture exposure. Sweat and wet hands while using the home button allow the moisture to seep into the home button area, eventually causing a corrosion buildup that slowly deteriorates the home buttons ability to do its simple job, after repeated exposure, it just has too much corrosion and stops working.
