SOURCE: Can receive faxes but are coming through partially or distorted.

Most receive problems relate to phone lines, But yours doesn't.
I would start here.

  1. Press the [Menu / Exit] button on the Control Panel. 'System Data' will be displayed on the Display Screen.
  2. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button until 'Memory Clear' is displayed.
  3. Press the [Enter] button.
  4. Press the [Left] or [Right] arrow button to select one of the following items to be cleared from memory:
    • System ID: Clears the fax number and name from the machine’s memory.
    • System Data: Restores all options that can be modified to the factory default.
    • PhoneBK / Memory: Clears the speed dial or group dial numbers stored in the machine's memory. In addition, all scheduled job operations that have been reserved are canceled.
    • TX-RX Journal: Clears all records of fax transmissions and receptions.

NOTE: To exit without clearing the item, press the [Menu / Exit] button.

  5. Press the [Enter] button.
  6. If necessary, repeat steps 4 and 5 to clear another item from memory.
  7. Press the [Stop] button to return to the Standby mode.

SOURCE: i can't send or receive a fax

At the very least it should send a fax, without doing anything at all, but having it plugged into a phone line. Are you sure the line is good? Does it have a, "on Hook mode" or a button to press to get a dial tone? Otherwise, plug a telephone in and make sure there is a dial tone. Also it could be the cord itself, or has somebody conected it to the wrong jack on the fax machine? These are the things I suggest to check.

SOURCE: Xerox Workcentre C2424.

You likely need modify darkness or the contrast.

Please take a look at the following from the Xerox site:

Please let me know if this has been helpful or if there is anything else I can do. Thank you.

SOURCE: Replace Drum

your toner has nothing to do with sending/receiving faxes. If you can print to the xerox...something is wrong with the software..
delete and re-install software..Xerox website is useless
check the black sensor that dangles into the paper tray. wiggle it up and down, ahten resintalled the tray

I can receive faxes but cannot send them

Check your fax speed settings, also, make sure you get a good clear dial tone on the line. Sometimes it wont send if it detects line noise.

Workcentre pe 120i memory full

in spec. say's so:
your workcentre Pe120 have only 32 Mb memory.
fax function is equipped with a 4 Mb standard memory.
In spec. shows a 4mb memory is just enough for 320 pages of fax!!!

i think your problem is given from the 32 mb of memory of workcentre pe120, not from fax memory, because the faxes received or delayed is compressed with a very strong altgorithm, and these files is very small.

http://www.office.xerox.com/multifunction-printer/multifunction-under-30ppm/workcentre-pe120-pe120i/spec-enus.html#Memory

a link bellow ; i think is useful:
http://www.xeroxdirect.com/direct/public/products/accessorizer/dsp_accessory.cfm
for a 32 MB memory module (product code is: 097n01434)
