There are several ways to connect the TV to the DVD player but you can only take advantage of the progressive scan option on your player if you use component cable. Component cable has three input jacks on it and they are colored Green, Blue, and Red. Your TV/amplifer must have component input jacks on the back of it to use this cable. If it does, then the input jacks on the back of the TV are usually labled Y, Pa, and Pr. The Y input is for the Green input jack, the Pa input is for the Blue input jack and the Pr is for the Red input jack. Once you have these plugged in you will next need to hookup the audio/vidoe cable that came with your DVD player that has a Yellow, White, and Red input jacks on it. The Yellow input jack is for Video and the White and Red are for audio. Both your TV and DVD player will have inputs for these so just match them up. If you do not have component inputs on your TV then just hook up the audio/video cable and it will work.

Movie has no red color only green and yellow

Remove & re-seat the component video cables at both the TV and the DVD player.

If the problem continues, disconnect BOTH ends of the BLUE cable and the RED cable. Connect the BLUE cable to the RED jack at both the DVD and TV, and connect the RED cable to the BLUE jack ob both the TV and DVD. If the RED color comes back and the BLUE is missing, then replace the RED cable (the red cable is broken and will not pass the signal that it is connected to).

If all works, reconnect the colored cables to the corresponding colored jacks at both the TV and DVD player.

If the RED color still won't display, isolate the trouble to either the DVD player or TV by connecting the DVD to another TV w/ component jacks. If the RED is still missing, it is a problem inside the DVD player - if the RED displays, it is a problem with the TV.

Good luck!

I need help connecting sony dvp ns 300 to a jvc tv. I can't watch dvd at all, confused about the wiring where does it go?

The CD/DVD player has three output ports:
(i) Line out Video used to connect the yellow pin of composite cable.
(ii) S-video out use d to connect an S-video cable.
(iii) Component video out (red, blue, green) used to connect a component video cable.

So, in order to connect the CD/DVD player to the TV, the TV should have either of the corresponding input port on it.

However, the video quality transmitted by component video cable will be the best among the three.

So, you may connect the TV and the CD/DVD player using an appropriate cable.

All the above connections require an additional audio cable to transmit audio from the CD/DVD player to the TV.
In this case, you may use an RCA (red and white) audio cable to connect the "R and L" audio out port on the CD/DVD player to the corresponding "R and L" audio in port on the TV.

Performing all the above steps will help you get the DVD player work with the TV.

wish u good luck!!!!!!!!!!

The key is having at least a Universal Remote ($10.00 or less) that will operate your brand of TV. Your TV is only looking at "stations". You need to make it see Aux-1, Aux-2, or Line In mode. BUT, another trick is to run the DVD into your VCR (if capable). Select the VCR proper "input mode" (Aux-1, Aux-2, or Line In mode) then the DVD will play through the VCR and it will play through the TV on either channel 3 or 4. Problem solved!
