Lenovo 3000 N200 0768HCQ- does not boot after Lenovo Splash Screen

Hi !

I have a just out of warranty Lenovo 3000 N200 0769HCQ. The system had a constant problem for freezing for a few minutes. My usual habit was to simply switch off the system and switch on as a fresh boot. But the last time i did it, it just came with the Lenovo splash screen and did not go any further. My hardware guy thought its a Bios issue and updated the same but it now goes to a next screen but does not detect the hard disk and hence no OS to it may Boot. I was advised by the Hardware vendor that its a mother board issue and hence its looking expensive to mend it. pls advise what could be a possible solution

Iam using Lenovo G550 today system is not booting screen totally blank all Led was on but system is not booting screen totally even hardisk, posser also not responding let me know what is the exact problem

Hi and welcome to Fixya!

If the issue with your machine is just caused by a glitch, try to do power drain.
1. First shut down the machine and unplug the adapter and take out the battery.
2. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
3. Then put back the battery and plug back the adapter. Try to turn on the machine normally.

If this does not solve the issue, it could be caused by a problem with the motherboard. If your machine is in warranty (or even if its not), contact Lenovo warranty support on this number - 1 877 453 6686.

Hope this helps!

My lenovo ideapad y560's monitor won't open. the monitor is pitched black.

Hi thelzy,

I see that your Lenovo Y560 is having issues showing no Video, you mentioned that you only get a Black screen when booting.

I am assuming that there is still power on the machine but no video at all, Just to ask do you still see the Lenovo Splash screen? if not then we can try doing a power cycle on the machine.

* Remove the battery on the system unhook the Power Cord/AC adapter as well then press and hold down the power button of your Y560 Laptop for about 15 seconds then let go.

*After Doing the Power Cycle connect the AC Adapter again but leave the battery out for the time being then turn the compute ON, check to see if it will show the Lenovo Splash screen if it does then we're in progress and should show windows Loading up on the LCD screen.

*If it does not show the lenovo Splash screen then most probably the BIOS screen never showed as well on the issue.

*Connect the battery back n the machne turn it ON again check if it will show anything on the screen, if not then see below.

*We can try connecting an external mnitor to the system using a VGA connection it should show us the Screen on the external monitor if not then it means that Windows as well is not booting on your Laptop.

*Check the indicator Lights on the Laptop, one of the Lights will be a cylinder icon on the Laptop check if there is any activity from that light if there is no Light or any avtivity to any of the indicator lights then your Y560 is having issue with the Motherboard.

I hope this info Helps.

Have a nice day.

It starts with the lenovo screen and then goes to the Windows XP screen but it goes back to the Lenovo screen. What can I do so I wont have to restore my system again?

ok, press f8 key as the system is booting up, this will put you in safe mode,

if the system boots okay goto command prompt mode and type chkdsk /r to repair any files etc ,

Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop not starting up, power light on

Keep pressed the power button of your laptop for about 30 seconds, the machine will power down.
--The above step may not be required as already so many days passed by.
Then plug it into the power adapter.
Switch the laptop on.
Boot in "safe mode" (F8 during boot).
This will fix any driver or some operating system issue during previous failed boot process.
Once it boots completely, do a normal shutdown and reboot your laptop in standard mode (no more F8 this time).
Now your laptop will be ready to use.
