How to get Motorola Karma to ask for subsidy code

Phone is locked to AT&T. Switched to Consumer Cellular. Put in their SIM card, but phone will not prompt for subsidy code. I have the code I need to get to the screen that accepts it.

Thanks for the response. A friend used their t-mobile sim and the subsidy prompt popped right up. Must have been Consumer Cellulars sim. I punched in the code and it unlocked.

I appreciate your response, but would have appreciated my question being understood. I could not use the subsidy code as the phone would not prompt for it. The response I received was to purchase another subsidy code, completely bypassing the problem I was actually having which was to find a way to get the phone to prompt for code. Maybe in the future you could read the whole question before you attempt an answer that shows you didn't read the question!!

SOURCE: Buddy gave me a Motorola Razr with no sim card ( NEED SUBSIDY PASSWORD)

If you dont get it from your service provider it's considered illegal and you could serve at least 2 years in prison.

SOURCE: motorola problem

Your phone is currently 'locked' to the Vodafone network and will need to be 'unlocked' before it will work on another network (Tesco use O2)

A subsidy password is just Motorola terminology for an unlock code.

There are a number of companies offering unlocking services on the internet, or you could take it into a phone shop that offers an unlocking service. There is usually a small charge for this service.

Unfortunately there is not a generic unlock code that I can give you. They are unique to each individual phone.

Hoep this helps.

Bc50 subsidy password

Subsidy Password usually asks in Motorola phone. If it is a locked phone, you insert other network sim card without unlocking it,it will ask for subsidy code.BC50 is motorola phone battery type.So you need to specify the correct phone model,IMEI number, network and country it is locked now.Get subsidy code from the site Onlinegsmunlock.com and unlock your Motorola phone from network lock. Then use with any GSM network sim card.It will not ask for an unlock code.

MOTOROLA KARMA SUBSIDY CODE

simply call 1-800-331-0500. Tell AT&T that a friend gave you this phone because your Net10 phone (or what ever sim phone is popular in your area) isn't working and you would like to be able to use your SIM card in this phone. If the phone model is allowed to be unlocked they will give you the code with a smile you can hear over the phone.

Here are the unlocking steps for unlocking a Motorola karma QA1,1 - Switch ON your Motorola Karma QA1 with a NOT ACCEPTED SIM Card,
2 - Phone will display "Enter Special Code",

I have a i90c and my friend was playing with the sim card and he somehow locked the phone. Now it says it needs a subisidy lock code or "enter special code". Can anyone help me get that number?

Did you try pulling the battery out and turning it back on after that to see if helps,

Subsidy code usually is asked when a SIM from another provider is put in.

You may also want to check to make sure its your SIM in there. maybe he switched it by mistake.

How to contact service provider?

The subsidy lock is only given by your phone company provider therefore if you don't enter it correctly it locks the phone. This code is given by motorola only to the cell phone companies so if for example you have a tmobile sim you would call tmobile and tell them that your phone is asking for the subsidy lock code.

Motorola i560, i need subsidy code

i560 is an iden phone not gsm. even if you get subsidy lock and unlock phone it will not work with att, t-mobile or any other gsm service. although both companies use sim cards, they use different systems.
