Won't start and all lights are on
Maytag model w10199645 was starting intermittently, and sometimes only when we pressed and held the start button for 10-15 seconds. Finally tonight it just wouldn't start, period. I unplugged it for 15 minutes, then used the Heated Dry/Normal/Heated Dry/Normal and it started back up on its own.
I googled my problem, saw this link with other person who posted that their dishwasher won't start. I just tried what you said to do, heat dry, normal, heat dry, normal and it works now! Only problem is you said to hit cancel and I did, but it's not cancelling. But it's washing!! Im not going to disturb it. It's washing on normal. Hopefully will continue to work next load.
I just tried this and my dishwasher is washing! Bug step forward! However, it is set on the light cycle since I had already washed my dishes by hand. Unfortunately, it has been washing for 90 minutes! I'm guessing I should cancel or stop soon! Any advice?
DITTO! THANK YOU!! This worked for me as well. The only difference is that I shut off the power breaker vs. pulling the dishwasher out to unplug it. My added comment is as follows: when selecting the heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal and then finally start...in that exact order; ALL LIGHTS lit up on the panel and then all lights went out on the dishwasher except the Normal & Heated Dry setting lights. VOILA! GOOD LUCK TO ALL & THANK YOU AGAIN John.
w10199645 barely been used. Tried resetting with heated dry hi temp, heated dry hi temp and it starts, but flashes between wash and dry several times and goes back to all lights on after 2 minutes. Took apart. Inspected green ribbon and cleaned and recoated it. No corrosion on buttons under sticker. Put all back together and it did the same thing, all lights on, no buttons work. Fuse is good, tested 0. Inspected all wires. Have repeated the sequence 5 times. Did get water to start filling once, but it went into all lights on and quit after about 2 minutes. Disgusted.
So how long did you wait with all lights on before it started working?
For my comment above. Looks like the tape keeping the wires secure must have got a little too hot and got sticky and thus tugged one of the two wires out of the latch after cleaning this up and plugging the wire back in it worked.
I'd just like to comment on how lousy this assembly is. When unscrewing the 6 screws three of the screws were stuck and what happened was that the plastic that "holds on" the screw broke. So atm three screws are holding this on.

SOURCE: Green clean light is on
Hello Stephen -
This is a common problem in Kenmore dishwashers and is commonly due to a "fault" with the water temperature sensor. It's not necessarily a fault that requires a service call or any replacement parts. Often all that is required is to clear the error code and you can then resume normal operation.
With the dishwasher in standby mode (power on, but not running a cycle), press HEATED DRY, then NORMAL, then HEATED DRY then NORMAL again all within 6 seconds.
This will run the self-diagnostics test. Once this has started, let it run for about 30 seconds, then press CANCEL to end the diagnostics test. Hopefully, this will clear the fault code and return the dishwasher to normal operation.
If this clears the error code, try running the hot water faucet in your kitchen until the water runs hot before starting any wash cycle. This is often all that's required to prevent the fault from returning. If the flashing clean light returns and/or persists after you've done the above, then it would indicate a component failure somewhere. The diagnostics test would then need to be run fully to determine the probable cause of the fault.
Hopefully, this simple trick will solve your problem. Please try the above, then post back with the results if you need further assistance. Please reply to me by clicking on "Add a Comment" below your question. Please include the model number of your dishwasher.
Regards,
BElectric.
SOURCE: I can't get the control panel to reset. The
II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.
The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.

Hi First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump
assembly located inside the lower front panel of the dishwasher. If the issue
returns after its cleaned then it means that the control board has gone bad and
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance. Daniel
