Love the new iPad screen but am having trouble playing video on it, that I have a bunch of 1080p .mkv files and want to find a good app to play these, but I don't find the nice solutions...

you need to install the mpeg4 codecs drivers for your hand held this quite a new machine out in the world so i wouldnt know if they have the new conversion codecs out yet for mpeg4 on hand held devices i havent checked up mpeg4 but it was on my todo list
but thats all it is is updateing codec modules to mpeg4 multimedia

You are able to use any appstore app with the iPad. Make sure your iPad is listed as a connected device in the left side bar of iTunes. Check your sync settings to make sure they're set to sync with your iPad and if needed restore your iPad using the restore button and try to sync again.
