How to play 1080p mkv videos on the new iPad

Love the new iPad screen but am having trouble playing video on it, that I have a bunch of 1080p .mkv files and want to find a good app to play these, but I don't find the nice solutions...

MKV format can not be supported by iPad or iPhone, so you have to convert MKV to iPad. Maybe this video converter can help you in this point.

Well, the new iPad only supports to playback videos in MP4, MOV, M4V format. So, if want to watch 1080p MKV videos on the new iPad in 1080p, you need to convert the 1080p MKV to 1080p MP4 format first. you need to install the mpeg4 codecs drivers for your hand held this quite a new machine out in the world so i wouldnt know if they have the new conversion codecs out yet for mpeg4 on hand held devices i havent checked up mpeg4 but it was on my todo list
but thats all it is is updateing codec modules to mpeg4 multimedia

You are able to use any appstore app with the iPad. Make sure your iPad is listed as a connected device in the left side bar of iTunes. Check your sync settings to make sure they're set to sync with your iPad and if needed restore your iPad using the restore button and try to sync again.

To make an application fullscreeen tap the small "2x" button in the bottom corner of your iPad. This will upscale the app to fullscreen.

Ipad will not play videos
the iPad does not support all video file formats, will it play videos that it shoots from its camera?
if so, then you may need to convert you mov files to a version that your iPad can play, an app like quicktime from apple is a great way to convert some movie files to versions that the iPad can use.
if your iPad can not play its own videos the problem is deeper, check with your apple store.

Cannot play utube on new ipad
In fact, iPad can't support flash player, so you can't watch YouTube video on iPad directly, If you want to finish it, you should depend on some Youtube app. Or you also can download the YouTube video with Aneesoft free Youtube downloader and than converting the Flv(Youtube video format) to Mp4 or Mov with Aneesoft free FLV video converter. At last, you can sync the videos to iPad.
