Sony Trinitron screen turned pink

Hello
Absence of green is the problem. You see mixing of red and blue, which will look like pink.
the fault must be of its video output card. This card can be located at the neck of the picture tube. Check this card, for any loose solder. This is a common problem seen in most CRt based Sony TVs.
Just resolder all the suspected solder points on this board, by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder terminals.
images of two models of sony trinitorn TVs, [back cover opend] has been attached here. you can see the boar under suspection, along with the picture tube neck. [See the rectangulat printed circuit board attached to CRT base]3_9_2012_2_12_06_pm.jpg3_9_2012_2_12_38_pm.jpg

Rca tv screen gone red

If your able to take the back off and have experience in soldering then you can look on the CRT board on the picture tube for cold solder joints, it should be quite visible. There are 3 transistors that look identical so I would look those over closely. Those are your Red, Green and Blue Video outputs. If you choose not to and want to take it in to a service center try and find one with Free Est. Notice on your screen if you have diagonal lines, if you don't, that's a good sign. Let me know what you decide!

D52W19 No pix, sound good - now green light blinks, no come on

First of all you need to find out which CRT leaked and replace it before any other repairs are done. The clear liquid is conductive and has done damage to the CRT board or boards.

Green arches and now green flashes

If you see a neon light in the crt board and it lights up is because the green picture tube is arking inside, the light is supposed to do that and is why is there, the only way to correct the problem is by replacing the picture tube and it can be costly sometimes, there is another way but this will not take care of the problem for good,it might go away for a while but it might return,is hard to tell if it might work, what you need to do is lift the set from the ground about 3 inches and drop it,sometimes just by doing it once it works ,other times it takes more than once,do not over do it or something else might break,is an option you dont have to take and you still have the option to replace the tube.Let Us know how it goes or if you need more information.

TV lacks green, but has prominant red/pink (Question 2)

Those are magnets and not outputs ,the outputs you might be looking for are in the crt board and is an actual transistor,do not move the magnets and try to realign to the way they were, the crt board is at the end of the neck of the tube and it can be remove very carefully,do not twist this board or the picture tube might break and then we are in trouble.Take a picture of the board it should be about a 4"x4" in size.Make sure the set is not plug in when you work around this parts.Lets Us know when you need more information.

TV lacks green, but has prominant red/pink

Getting the squematic will be the first step to take to become more familiar with the electronics inside, you can ordered by going to http://www.servicemanuals.net/ click on service manuals and give them the model number, they will then give a price and availabilty. The color processing uses a driver for each color and an output for each color too,the output are ussually placed in the crt board in theneck of the tube.the drivers and outputs are transistors most of the time but sometime the drivers are part of an integrated circuit. Please let US know if you need more help but place it as a new question.

Pink screen

Is your grey scale or Black and white programming pink?? Thats an indication that the green and blue grids on the picture tube are week or that the red is over driving. First thing is take off the back of the set. Find the end of the picture tube and look at the printed curcuit board there. see if you can find and red drive controls there. Put on a black and white pic and ever so slowly rock that red drive control a little at a time till the picture looks almost normal.. If you get it to be a little \less pink then stop right there but if it starts to get a bit green or blue then try rocking those controls all back and forth till you get the bese B&W picture you can BUT BE VERY CAREFULL as there is alot of voltage on this picture tube and if your not carefull it will bite ya. Now dont be too critical as the tube is a bit weak so you probably wont get a perfact grey scale so if after a while live with it or get a new set. Good Luck.
