Singer Izek zipper foot

I need a zipper foot. This machine does not come with one. Any idea which foot is correct? Is there a number? The regular presser foot is a snap-on type. Thank you for any help you may share.

SOURCE: I need a zipper foot

Go to any sewing machine store and buy a LOW SHANK adjustable zipper foot. This foot will screw on and fits almost everything. Yes, it's an older machine but you can still get most parts for it. Especially feet.I think this machine has snap on feet, so If you want an original foot take the ankle with you when you go to the shop to buy it.

No, the foot has nothing to do with the stitch quality. Your machine is jamming up, check your upper tension. It should be set between 3-5. Make sure the dial has not changed by mistake.

If you are not able to free this easily, you really should consider taking it to a service technician to look at it in case you do more damage to the needle bar and elsewhere trying to fix it yourself.

I have a IZEK singer sewing machine, I wound 3 bobbins with it and when I went back to sew it would not work

Sandy, I'm not familiar with IZEK machines, but it sounds like the bobbin winder has not correctly disengaged. Put it back into bobbin winding mode and run it (no need to wind a bobbin, just check that the bobbin winder turns), then stop and disengage the bobbin winder and try sewing again. Hope this solves it for you. If it won't turn the bobbin winder either then it may have slipped or broken the drive belt and you will need to take it to your local sewing centre.

Iwant to sew a separating zipper on a coat. what does the zipper foot look like for singer model 3116?

Just like the regular working foot, most zipper feet look the same regardless of machine. At least, the part of the foot that is actually in contact with the work: small, solid--no thread slot or needle well in the middle--and a small notch on each of the left and right sides.
