Help When I put in a card in my camera it reads card error. Can you please help me solve this problem or should i just buy a new camera?

  • Anonymous Dec 30, 2008

My old card 256 meg works fine, but when I got a bigger 2 gb card I get the card error screen on the lcd display. Is it that the a360 can't handle the larger card. BTW the card seems to work fine in the card reader in my computer.

NO! DON'T BUY A NEW CAMERA,UNLESS YOU WANT TO, BUT FIRST, WAS THIS CARD WORKING BEFORE? EVER? IS IT COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR CAMERA? BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, TRY TO READ THE CARD LIKE ON YOUR COMPUTER IF IT HAS A CARD READER, OR AT A STORE LIKE WAL-MART THAT HAS CARD READERS TO SEE IF IT IS ANY GOOD! IT MIGHT BE BAD! IT MIGHT NEED TO BE FORMATTED? BORROW A CARD FROM A FRIEND AND TRY IT IN YOUR CAMERA TO SEE IF IT WORKS. CHECK EVERYTHING FIRST BEFORE YOU DUMP YOUR CAMERA. IF YOU WANT REPLY WITH MORE INFO AND I WILL HELP YOU MORE WITH THIS! OK? REPLY TO:

The fuji finepix a360 can only handle up to a 1gb memory card. I had the same "card error" when I tried to install the 2gb. Any other questions on fuji cameras or equipment, go to fujifilm.com, and they have a chart listing all their cameras and equipment and what media will work with them. :)

I have removed all the pictures from the camera (card) and now the message is ! Card Error. How can I solve this without having to buy a new card?

Format the card in the camera if you can. If not format it FAT in windows with a card reader and then reformat in the camera.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

Memory card error

Put off the card from your camera, then try to put on again properly and turn on your camera.
If the problem persist, take the memory card in a card reader and plug to your PC, if the PC still recognize it then the memory card still reliable. But if even the PC don't recognize it, I suggest you to buy the new card for your camera.

Hope this help and be kind to rate this answer please.

Memory card reads CARD ERROR when put in my D-390

If this is the old Olympus D-390 then the card may need to be reformatted, or the card may finally have gone bad.

If this is a newer camera, make sure it is not a new SDHC or UDMA type CF card. Those are not compatible with some older cameras.

Picture card wont read

You should "format" the card while it is in your camera. This should get it properly formatted so your camera will read it. Be sure the card is not locked (write protected) too!

Sidekick lx sd memory card error

The only way you can solve this problem is by calling tmobile & getting a new lx (free if you have insurance). I was having the same problem & thats the only thing that stopped the error message & i have all my pictures and themes back but now my music on my memory card doesnt show up on my lx. I'm still working on solving that issue.

Nikon 4600

Hello, Many times when someone fools with a memory card and the camera is on, it sort of backfires when the camera is trying to read or write data to the memory card. Error 10 might be attached to a fault in the memory card or system error. Try doing this first: remove you memory card when the camera is off. Remove you batteries so it can reset. Leave the batteries out for 30 seconds then replace them. Use a brand new SD memory card and then turn on camera. Go to menu and format the new memory card and see if this helps. Good luck.

Communication error

If your SD memory card contains more than 1,000 images, the camera will display "Communication Error". Use a card reader (if available) to import your images into the computer, or see about having some CD's made at a photofinishing business.
