Buzzing coming from the right side about 1/2 way to back. Unit continues to function perfectly and was manufactured in late 2003.
I have pulled the power and the noise resumes as soon as power is applied. The sound does not seem to change when the unit is running (can't hear buzzing over operating sound).
From what I have gathered on other posts...somone has suggested a possible stuck relay? (https://www.fixya.com/secure/support/t282530-buzzing_panel_hot)
Any ideas? I guess if I rip it apart I should be able to hear the offending component pretty easily...I just expected to read about other people having similar problems.
The control panel is not hot in any way.. I don't smell anything.
This is how I resolved a similar problem. Good luck.

This is the transformer that is doing it and it may end up failing soon , and should be replaced before any other dammage is done,
glad to be of asistance! and thanks for the rating!
I have the same problem. Is the solution replacing the transformer? [email protected]
I also periodically have this problem... i leave the door open so not to hear the humming and after a day it usually clears up. I've tried pulling the plug to reset, sometimes it works. Mine is currently stuck. These units are very expensive and very troublesome. The old counter top micros never seem to fail.

Usually answered in minutes!
Humming is behind the control panel on right side, but sound comes from 1/2 way to back of unit.
ALSO, last night i noticed that when I turned on the bright light underneath and toggled from bright, to dim, to off; The buzzing tone got lower when the dim light was turned on, when the bright light was turned on the buzzing sound didn't change from the light off position.
Thank you!!! I figured power supply...I guess transformer is equivilent to powersupply in the PC world 8).
Funny thing, wife used the convection feature and the oven got REALLY hot...the fan ran for some time to cool things down after....For two days after the stupid thing stopped humming at all.. dead quiet...now its back to humming again 8(.
Thanks for the confirmation...This will allow me to pre-order the part or check availability before I tear it down and get it back in operation all in one day.
Thanks.
have you found where the hum is from?
