All you can do is: Take the plug out of the wall (power) - wait 2hrs, plug in and try again. If it will not work after being cooled and the capacitors drained (which this will do) then it needs repair.

SOURCE: Flashing red light 7 times on our panasonic th-42pz700u

hello you have what you call a "shut down circut" it is for safety and when one of the internal boards gets shorted or is not working properly, service doc reads as follows

7 Blinks SOS:
Pin 93 of the MPU IC9003 monitors the status of the SC, SU, SD board. During normal operation, the photo-coupler PC6480 outputs a low to pin 93. If the SC, SU, or SD board becomes defective, a high is provided to pin 93. As a result, the unit shuts down and the power LED blinks 7 times

thiera blinking 7 times is cuase by a fualt in sc,su,sd boards

I accidentally overheated my Panasonic Plasma TV TH-42PZ700U. It won't turn on, and the power button blinks TEN times.

Check and see if there are any blown caps on the power supply. If there are replace them or change your power supply.
