Shoes are best washed with hands, not in a washing machine. I would not risk washing the sandals in a washing machine, it's dangerous for a washing machine

I have six pairs of Ecco sandels and I just washed all of them in my wash machine. My sandals look brand new. I always by my sandals in Germany and she told me last year that you could wash them in the wash machine. I'm glad I did.

I wouldn't machine wash them. It is preferable to wash them by hand.

SOURCE: First of all I love

These sandals are a little different from just rubber sandals but the remedies may still work. First of all you can buy Ecco products like the foam cleaner or the waterproofer which might help get rid of the smell and stop it from coming back. Click here for a website that has those products. Or you may want to try just some home remedies which I have recommended people with rubber shoes try. A quick fix can be to wash the sandals by hand once in a while to get them from smelling. Use soap or alcohol to scrub them off and put outside to dry, but since your shoes are not rubber alcohol might effect them differently. This may get rid of what collects on the sandals and gets rid of the smell. Then let them air dry, putting them in the sun can be most effective. These solutions should help if not try the old trick of putting a bag freshener in you bag when you put them away.

If you can't find the width you need in a sandal, then I suggest you look at alternatives. Narrow shoes and sandals come from places like Drew Shoes and Mt Emey

Washing merrell sundew sandals In washing machine

If you have to do that, I would say put them in a pillowcase and then let them air dry.
There are options available where you would not need to do that.

Insoles smell horrible

I am unsure of which model you have, but I would think that the insoles can be washed with water and dish soap to clean them up. Removing the insoles at the end of the day can also help them to dry out and get rid of the smell.

Can I put my Ryka Sandals in the Washing Machine to clean them?

you can put it in the machine since it is suede, moreso the base of the sandal looks like its water resistant. i'd advice you to wash it if the base doesnt store water in it.. but if it does, you will have to wash it manually with your hands.. i hope i've been able to help you..

How can I clean the Naturalizer Roadracer Sandals. The footbed and the top of the shoes? Can I put them in the washer? What is the best way to clean them? Thanks

I would use water and a mild dish soap to wash them and not a machine. If the issue is odour, there are some shoe deodorizing products available at shoe stores that can help.

Montrail molokai sandals smell terrible when worn, e.g, rubbery stink!

My friend has a similar problem with this once, but different shoe brand, same type. The simple the solution is to get new sandals, but if you can fix the problem, then try to fix it. A quick fix can be to wash the sandals by hand once in a while to get them from smelling. Use soap or alcohol to scrub them off and put outside to dry. Another way you could do this is to simply wash them in your washer with detergent. This may get rid of what collects on the sandals and gets rid of the smell. Then let them air dry, putting them in the sun can be most effective. These solutions should help if not try the old trick of putting a bag freshener in you bag when you put them away.
