Would you pay to get your brakes fixed on the car? How about the washer, dryer, refrigerator or air conditioning in the house? It's much cheaper to fix a PC (If you have a honest repairman) than to buy a new one. Try the guys at: http://www.generalsystemsconsulting.com They fix it and ship it back UPS or FEDEX

Approximate cost to replace fuel pump on 2001 Altima Nissan I have 94k milesis it worth fixing

Your asking the wrong questions. The cost for the fuel pump is what it is. Shop around to get the best price. Rockauto for example. Second are you doing the repair or a shop. Replace fuel filter also. Next how is the car is it worth 300or 400 dollars or is it worth 2000. Can you afford to buy a new car or even a 1000 dollar car and pay to get it fixed. 300 hundred to fix the fuel pump is nothing when you think buying a replacement car for thousands. You do the repair yourself you only paying for parts not labor

My Nancy Drew computer game won't work

Hi longview924,

Unfortunately there is no way to make that game run on your mac. Your mac uses the older powerPC architecture (all G3, G4 and G5 macintosh machines use this architecture) but the game requires that you have a mac using the newer intel architecture.

I found the details of the system requirements here:
http://www.buzz99.com/1167/nancy-drew-trail-of-the-twister-system-requirements/

Intel and PowerPC processors are very different in how they work (Intel chips are CISC chips and powerPC chips are RISC chips), which is why there is no way around it. This is also the reason why apple dropped support for the powerPC architecture in mac OS 10.6 upwards.

Without meaning to sound harsh, it may be time to consider an upgrade - macs are very expensive but the intel macbooks are leaps and bounds faster than the powerPC range :)

My Kirby G3 diamond series won't turn on

Hi There, The most common problem by far is that the cord is faulty. This is a pretty easy repair to do at home. If your machine was randomly cutting out before it stopped altogether then the cord is likely the culprit. If however it stopped all of a sudden with no warning then it is possibly a switch or motor issue which is a much harder repair to achieve for a novice.
The kirby cords are not terribly expensive (and I have linked a how to video showing how its done) so if you need a new one I would say DIY is the go, otherwise spend the $25 get a pro to take a look.

2005 sportster 883 stopped at light, put into 1st, bike will move but will not come out of gear and has play and shift lever

Sounds like you have a broken shifter pawl. It's behind the clutch assembly in the primary cover. You'll have to take the outer primary cover off, remove the engine sprocket and clutch assembly. The shifter mechanism is behind the clutch assembly. I would suggest the purchase of a service manual if you plan on fixing the bike yourself. In this particular case, the pictures in the book are worth a thousand words. It will show you how to adjust the shifter pawl with a simple picture where it would take me four pages to describe how to do it and we still may not get it right. Look at it this way, if you fix the bike yourself, the money you save by using the book will more than pay for the book and the next time you use it, it's free. At today's labor prices, it don't take long. Thirty minutes to an hour labor will pay for the book.

Good Luck

Is it worth paying for malwarebytes to clean up malware (too many things to fix for the free versin)...and many drivers that need to be replaced or fixed--is paying for that download from e-machine worth...

No, the only difference between the free and paid for edition of Malwarebytes is the paid one has active protection and web blocking. The database and scan engine are exactlry the same.

There won't be too many for the free version to fix, it will just take while the same as the paid for one.

My Brother MFC 420CN all in one printer won't pring colors even though I've put in new cartridges and cleaned the heads. Brother website says if it is cleaned several times and still doesn't work it will...

Are you certain you removed the celophane from the new cartridge?

If this doesn't fix it - remove the driver and reinstall - get the newest driver for your printer that will work with your operating system.

If this doesnt work ... well it is worth $50.00 towards the purchase of a new printer at Staples and Office Depot. You probably cannot get it fixed for less than the price of a new printer.
