I have an 8GB micro sd card for my blackberry storm when i put it in. It says media card has inserted contains errors. to correct the errors use a disk error-checking utility on a computer. what do i need...

Hi,

The chances on any micro sd card showing errors can be either the files stored in it are corrupted or the card is simply bad already. You may try to identify the problem by performing the following steps.

1· Access micro sd card through a card reader. May it be built-in in a computer or an accessory that needs to be plugged-in to a computer.
2· Wait for a few seconds for the computer to read the micro sd card.
a· If it asked you to "open the folder to view files", do so then copy all contents in a new folder on your desktop. This is to make a backup copy of your files. Then, format the micro sd card with FAT32 format. Copy all files back to your micro sd card.
b· If it asked you to format the micro sd card, most likely all files are corrupted. Try to format the card for re-use. If not successful, your micro sd card is bad already and needs replacement.

I hope this works for you. Good Luck!

I tried to add music to my micro sd. it says i have 1.83 gb available and i tried to add 342 items which is 1.55 gb but i get a 0x80070052 error message as soon as I hit 114 items. how do i fix it and...

The "root" directory has been filled.
Delete one or two items and create a folder on the microSD. You will be able to add more files, but into the folder, not the root area.
You should move all files to folders.

Cruzer micro 2GB - "Directory or file cannot be created"

In all likelihood, your SD card is formatted FAT and you are hitting the limit on number of objects in the root directory. Check the format type and if it is FAT, I would recommend reformatting as FAT 32 which has more lenient restrictions.

ALTERNATIVE: If you really do not want to reformat the card, you might try to remove a few pics to free up space in teh directory and then create a subfolder to store picture in. Object in this subfolder should not be counted at the root.

I have free space that i can't use on my SanDisk micro SD card.

Make sure its formated FAT 32 or above such as NTFS this will shore up this memory issue problem with your memory stick.

Good luck and God bless

How do I use the SanDisk adaptor and the SanDisk 2GB microSD

Hello,

The micro card (the smaller one) can be used alone in a port that accepts (microSD ports)such as those on a Sansa c240, c250, e250 etc.
If you have a regular SD slot (larger than microSD) then you plug the micro card in the adapter and plug the whole into a regular SD slot.

Plug the card in your computer and copy paste the files. Or plug the micro card in an MP3 player that accepts it and use you music transfert software.

You only have one card (the micro SD one), which you can use in two possible slots.

Hope it helps.

Copying pictures from computer to memory card

i have seen this error and i dont know why it does that. you may want to try buying a micro disk setup that fits into a sd adapter that will fit in your camera.

then you can take out the micro disk when full and put it on a usb adapter and plug right into a usb port.

i know this sounds like more work but so far i havent had a lock up on that or error yet. go to tigerdirect.com if you want to see the different adapters for the sd disk and micro disk and usb etc....

maybe this might help

Micro SD problem loading music

Just a guess, but I'm thinking the problem may lie in the format of the media. Try to format in FAT32. Also make sure that the full card is used ( don't do only 500mb or such ) FAT file system used to only allow a certain amount of space for
(F)ile (A)llocation (T)ables, and I think only a certain length of file names ( I'm thinking 8 character ), while FAT32 allows for 32 character file names, and allows for more FAT table information. I wouldn't ty NTFS if it does allow, as some portable devices do not read them, but fat and fat32 should be universal...
