Oven light flickers on and off rapidly

The oven light used to occasionally turn itself on and off. Today, while the oven was in use, the light started flickering on and off rapidly and wouldn't stop unitl I disconnected the 5-pin ribbon connector behind the control panel. Could this just be a faulty relay which is replaceable (which one?) or do I need a new control panel/board?

I've had the same problem in my 1997 ECS127 in the house I just bought. After reading this post, I discovered that it IS the door not shutting all the way. If I push hard and hold the door in, I'm able to turn the light on and off. Not sure how to fix the door to shut tightly, but need to find out.

Not sure of model but our Dacor double oven upper oven light comes is on and the light switch will not turn it off, nor make any sound like the okay bottom oven light switch. Shutting off breaker to oven sets lamp off, but soon it comes on again, I don't know why. THen it went off in the middle of the night and operated fine during the morning, but is now stuck on. I am suspecting a relay, but I have no idea yet.

Hi all. I have the exact same problem! It has happened so much that the light is now burned out. Do I really have to replace the whole pannel $$$. Dacor should stand behind their products! Sounds like a defect to me!

I have the same problem and now my oven has stopped working all together. I've had to replace my dacor microwave three times in 7 years and now the oven. Not so sure about Dacor quality!

I have seen several problems with the touch pad (membrane switch assembly) causing weird problems with the lights. also something to check is the door hinges. I have seeen several cases where the door hinges wear out and the door does not close completely and doesnt quite push the door switch in. The easiest way to check this possibility is to push in on the door while the light is acting up and see if it quits. If it doesn't, the problem most likely lies in the mebrane switch (touch pad). Good Luck!

Howdens HJA 3300 oven. The clock is flickering. Should I be worried?

The flickering clock on your Howdens HJA 3300 oven could be an indication of an issue with the power supply or the clock circuitry itself. However, as the digits never disappear, it is possible that the issue is not serious and may not require immediate attention.

If the flickering only happens occasionally and does not affect the functionality of the oven, you may choose to monitor the situation for now and see if it worsens over time. However, if you start to experience other issues with the oven or if the flickering becomes more frequent or intense, it may be a good idea to have it checked by a professional technician.

In any case, it is generally recommended to have appliances that are over 10 years old regularly serviced and inspected to ensure they are functioning properly and to address any potential safety concerns.

also, there might be a problem with your cicuit breakers,it sounds like you are only getting half of the 220 volts.

Upper oven lights flicker

Sounds like it could be a bad connection on door switch, or a faulty switch.
Check that the bulb is screwed in properly, as this can give the same symptons.

Neff B1432 Oven Not Heating; oven light flickering

If the fan is working o/k then you need a new element fitting.
Remove the panel at the rear of the oven, there you will see the element, remove the fixing screws and ease the element forward, taking care not to lose the wires, disconnect the leads and fit new element.
The light flickering is probably the bulb not screwed in propely or a bad contact, nothing to worry about.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks

Oven light

This is done to regulate the temperature. Higher heat settings will let the element stay on longer, while lower settings will turn it off sooner. Even on high, the elements may turn off periodically because there is a switch called a temperature limiter. Its job is to keep the element from overheating.
