Using Handsfree with Samsung SGH Cell Phone

My girlfriend has bought 4 different wired handsfree headsets for her cellphone. But whenever she uses them, the person she speaks to can hear themselves echoing even though, on her end, everything sounds perfect. We've tried different brands and types of headsets and we've tried both calling land lines and cellphones, does anyone know what this issue could be? I suggested getting a Bluetooth headset, but she doesn't want to worry about charging another device. . All or any help would be greatly appreciated. .

Thank you for your responce. The headsets we tried varied form expensive ($50) to pretty cheap ($10) all suffered from the exact same issue. So I don't think it has anything to do with the headsets. Also we tried all the headsets in a cordless phone and they worked fine without issue. So I think that narrows the issue to the phone and not the headsets. Any more ideas as to what the problem could be?

Echoing is usually a simple problem to fix, try turning the phone a bit.
Echoing comes from the phone hearing itself. Possible, but seldom the case, is crosstalk from the headset being poorly manufactured.

I just noticed a typo in my solution, correction in CAPS.
"try turning the phone VOLUME DOWN a bit."

How to increase a sound in samsung e250

Use an handsfree headset to confirm the working of the speakers. If there is low volume on the headset then there is fault in the motherboard- audio section. If not the fault can be with the speakers, it can be the weakness of the speakers , problem with dirt accumulation on the speaker ports or a fault in the board.
Clean and set back to confirm.

How can i connect Nokia BH-106 to samsung omnia i900.

Hello there...

From what i've read in here:
http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/accessories/all-accessories/headsets/bluetooth-headsets/nokia-bluetooth-headset-bh-106/specifications

The BH-106 specification doesn't mention that it support A2DP. To enable you to hear songs from bluetooth headset you need the one which support A2DP feature.

Quote:
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) This profile defines how high quality audio (stereo or mono) can be streamed from one device to another over a Bluetooth connection.[1] For example, music can be streamed from a mobile phone to a wireless headset or car audio or from a laptop/desktop to a wireless headset.

Source:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth_profile#Advanced_Audio_Distribution_Profile_.28A2DP.29

And as for listening radio from bluetooth headset/handsfree, I think that it is not possible... since usually radio feature in a handphone need a wire type handsfree as it also function as the radio antenna.

Hope this helps.... :D

Motorola handsfree kit

these kits are not very good and they are old, you are also unable to update software to work with new phones and the mic quality is poor.
go to your paired devices on your phones and change the hf850 to not connect automatically on both the phones, this may work.
If you can get a full refund and only pay the difference for a parrot it will be worth it. Also look at the THB Bury kit.

Pairing

press and hold the button (on/off button) on the ear piece until the light becomes blinking blue and red. Turn on the bluetooth scanner of your phone and search. Select the handsfree and pair them. Simple.
If you turn on your handsfree and the light is blinking purple, that means you need to turn off the handsfree and restart with holding on to the button on the ear piece.

Ear piece

Hi Snuggle ,

It depends on kind of cellphone you have. Normally there should be an option of Handsfree in the phone settings. choose bluetooth device it should detect the handsfree from there . connect to your earpiece from the list of devices.
for Example : I have Sony Ericsson W700i
I have that option under Main menu -- > Settings --> Calls --> Handsfree

Hope this is Helpful
