My bb pearls camera is not working right. Everytime i go into take a picture the display is in an infared light almost. like a negative but in red and white not black and white... what should i do?
I have the same problem . In the beginning it was great and i used my BB camera a lot. Last three months my desktop manager start to shot down my lap top . And i download the new version 4.5.0. from my cell phone provider . The program load the new software to my BB . And after that my BB camera never shows well. Inside home all pictures are like phote negative in light brown backround. Outside view is completely white or a lot wihte and a couple of shadows . Cloudy weather backround is light blue . And the flash is not working . In options section i tried all the functions but everytime same bad quality. Flash is only working if i open it forever .

How can I tell if my remote is working? You could invest in an infared detector pen or device that will detect the infared signal or you could use a common cellphone with camera mode. This might be because of Hardware issue you need to walk into the service center to get it repair.
For your track ball:-
1) Go to menu
2) Select Option's
3) Select screen and key board
4) Make Horizantal and vertical sensitivity to 100, Still not working you need to walk into the service center.
Remove the battery, then remove the Memory card and Sim card (if you have a sim card). Then replace battery. Try this. If this does not work, while off try connecting the device to your pc, through bb desktop software. If the device STILL does not turn on or your pc does not recognize it, you may have a hardware problem.
Did you turn your wifi?if not,turn it on then try again.Or you may try to restore/reset your BB.if it is still the same problem,you must upgrade the firmware.i,m pretty sure it will works fine.
Assuming you have an 8100 pearl I believe for some reason this phone does not do mms. either that or the following is true.
With certain wireless providers a BB data plan may be required for MMS
to function. For example, T-Mobile has a $0.00 feature that can be
added to a persons account to enable MMS (which is included in
messaging packages) without enabling full data capabilities. I believe
Alltel offers a similiar feature. Contrastingly, ATT BB's cannot send
or receive MMS without the $30, minimum, BB data feature being on the
account. I'm waiting for a class action suit against ATT for taking
subscribers money for messaging packages, that include picture
messaging, but not providing all of the services being paid for by some
PDA phone users.
I have had this problem for about 8 months. I have tried everything and nothing works. I accidently found out a fix:
It appears the problem of my Pearl was the bad connection of the camera. When I start the camera, if I squeeze the phone body hard around camera area to make a better connection, the camera works right away. This works for me 100%. I hope you have the same luck.
