I have problem whit canon ir2000 it sayes error e001 what means?

Title : E001 Error Code That is Not Resetable Error : paper jam
When the machine powers up the E001 error code is displayed but cannot be reset. (Note: The reset procedure for an E001 code is COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR)
Workaround :
In this case, the Main Power Supply PCB Assembly was replaced. The machine was powered up and the E001 code was able to be reset. The part number for the Main Power Supply Assembly is FM2-0260-000.
Remember, if the fixing unit circuitry has an open or a short, the code may not reset. Be sure to confirm the fixing unit wiring and try resetting the code before replacing the Main Power Supply Assembly. Canon USA, Inc. Systems & Technical Support Division1-800-528-2830

uhm i know that the reset function helps when on the control pannel display is displayed with the error code E000, but what was said from the noise the copier makes when it copies, i would say that the pick up paper assembly, will stop working, if u have other trays in your copier, try coping from there and see if it makes the same noise, if not..then probably, u have to replace that part soon " pick up paper assembly" am not an expert, but i also have one, and some things i've seen with it:)

Your in luck, Canon really did not change there error codes from way back then..... A E001 means you have a problem with the fusing unit. You may have a blown thermal fuse or one of the heatting lamps or you may have a bad thermister. It may be one or all of them. Did you try to rest the error code?

That means that you have fixing error.Try next:
press MENU and #, with cursors go to clear, press ok, select err or all and ok.
If the problem was only fluctuaction in temperature the machine would work normally.
If not call service, because you have problem with heating lamp, or thermistors, or...

Under service mode ( MENU and # ) find clear, select err, and OK. Turn off and on.

If after that you still have this message, you need to find the problem in fixing assy. Its probably bad thermistor or heating lamp.
