AHS 4-16 Bosch hedgetrimmer

Hello,
I have the above split open. Two problems have occurred. I have browsed for a parts blowout plan but no luck.

First, a spring suddenly popped out and is approx. 1" long. I think its for the squeeze trigger on the handle but cant see where it goes.
Second, the bushing on the bottom side, [looks a bit like a hat with no lid] also fell off. I have put that back on and it slots in well. It does not appear to fit the other way round. Is that right? Thankyou for any help.

There is a small protusion in the plastic of the handle that acts as a seat for the spring. If you look carefully it is suddemly very obvious. The same is true with the soring for the upper handle.

Has anyone got a Bosch PHS 46G hedge trimmer that keeps stopping.?

The most likely cause would be worn brushes on the motor. Rattling is not a good sign :>)

How to open a Bosch AHS 4-16 Hedge Trimmer ?

Not sure how to open it - if engine runs but clutch doesn't engage on revving perhaps the clutch has seized... point to bear in mind though is if you can't open the gear box (don't know how to) you most certainly won't be able to change a part inside - you will just get fiddly bits everywhere and never get them back where they should be - best get a pro to give you their opinion on whether it is worth the cost of getting it fixed.

My Bosch AHS 45 16 electric hedge trimmer start, is there anything you can suggest?

Hi Dan Walsh, When an electric motor won't start, it could be an open temperature device in the winding of the motor itself. If you have brushes and they are worn, then one or maybe two of the brushes can't stay inside the brush holder. They are spring loaded and if worn out can pop out. Also, if the winding are open, then there is not continuity. This will cause the condition you described. Not the best news, but it might answer your question.
Good Luck!

Where can I order an upper spray arm for my bosch dishwasher

Hi -

I order all Bosch parts direct from Bosch. You wont get them much cheaper anywhere else. If the model number above is correct, the part number is 359976. This is the whole upper spray arm assembly which clips onto the upper basket. The arm and retaining nut are not sold separately.

(0614 is the position number in the parts list, not the part number)

http://www.bosch-eshop.com/eshop/bosch/us/prodls.htm?Matnr=000000000000359976&ESHOPTYPE=A

$21.60 + shipping (in stock)

The link is for the Bosch USA eShop. If you are somewhere else, please let me know your location and I'll provide a different link. If you have a different from the one listed above, I can verify the part number for you, but this fits most Siemens/Bosch dishwashers, so it's likely to be the correct part..

Hope this helps.

I have a Bosch AHS 42-16 Electric Hedgetrimmer . I don't like its 'hard wired cable' and I wish disconnect this and insert a safety 'easy disconnect' plug. My problem is knowing what type of 'star key' I...

Go to your local home center, or a hardware/tool store, or even Harbor Freight. For less that $10 you can buy a kit that has a screwdriver handle and the 'forbidden' bits for screws that manufacturers use to keep you from working on your own equipment. Some are called "Torx" but there are others too. If you can take the equipment with you, you can be certain to get what you need. Now that I've shared this secret, please don't electrocute yourself -- unplug before your unscrew! Good luck.

sounds like you will need to replace starter pulley in the starter cover assy and check that the starter pawls are free to move and the pawl springs are no broken or the pawls are frozen

but your problem is most likley starter pulley

remove the starter cover and check the starter pulley

worn or damage teeth on pulley may be quite evident

Bosch wfk2801 washing machine drum does not rotate

Remove rear panel and check the belt is o/k, if it is, then remove belt, undo 2 bolts that hold motor, unplug the motor connector, lever motor back with a screwdriver, and remove motor.
Check the brushes, they should be at least 5mm long, \any shorter, then replace.
Plz rate my solution.
TRhanks.
