In Laptop obviously there is only one CD/DVD rom drive present.

So first confirm have you got any mark in the device manager entry for WC6037K IYL929R SCSI CdRom Device. If yes then you need to go in the BIOS and detect the Boot priority and enable the CD Rom there.
Check out the event viewer entry if showing any red cross entry related to CD/DVD rom and try to search it out on net.

If the CD/DVD drive is opening or ejecting out then it working and if it is not may be the failure in Drive and need to replace.

Other entry you had mentioned is for RAM (memory)

MY LAPTOP DOES NOT RECOGNIZE MY DVD/CD DRIVER... CODE 39

you need to do
1) confirm the dvd driver works ok at other same laptop or find a usb dvd drive adapter to check it works well or not, the dvd driver damage if not
2) check the dvd interface pins (no damage or disconnection) on the motherboard, there is hardware problem that you can not see or heard any lights and driving sounds when the power on
