I cant install my driver for my motherboard. it says it cant find my HD device. can you please help me? i am using windows 7 ultimate. please reply as soon as possible.
Click start right click on computer select properties then device manager scroll to sound and video game controllers if you see a yellow question/exclamation mark or a red X the driver will need to be updated if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it although once speakers are connected widows 7 should automatically update the drivers
click start control panel hardware and sound manage audio devices playback you might have to set a default go for via high definition audio then right click on speaker you might have to configure them then select properties you will see tabs general level in this tab make sure your settings are loud enough also enhancements and advanced from the drop down list in the advanced tab select dvd quality or another then apply

still nothing happens. i tried everything you said. unfortunately, there no yellow question/exclamation mark shown on my device manager. @ sound and video game controllers nothing in seen except NVIDIA High Definition Audio which i believe from my gfx card. i have 4 of them displayed. i connected speakers, headphones but nothing seems to work. When i hover on my Volume icon at the bottom right, near the clock, it says No Audio Output Devices is installed. is my onboard sound card damaged? please help me. i cant play skyrim. watch movies. watch youtube. if its broken, can i use PCI sound cards or USB sound card? im really disappointed with my motherboard. i dont have the CD installer coz its pre-owned motherboard. :((((((((((
right click on the speaker icon in the bottom taskbar you will see an array of options in the playback tab should have a green tick in the speakers if not right click configure them
click start all programs accessories system tools system information components sound device it should refresh all information on which sound card you have if any
