With most projectors there is a foam air filter behind a grill that is the opening to the cooling channels. A fan ensures air flow to cool the lamp, etc. This filter prevents dust from gumming up the works (and depending on design) may prevent dust getting into the optics. As the filter gets dirty it gradually cuts off the air and at some point a protective circuit kicks in and turns off the lamp.
If the projector is on you will feel a stream of hot air coming out of the exit vent. Projectors vary in terms of amount of air flow, so its difficult to define what is normal for a specific model. However, you can simply hold a hand in front of the vent and see if there is air flow (It will be hot air so, careful). If there is a "good" stream of air things are fine, but if only a very light flow is felt the filter may be dirty.
If the filter has not been cleaned or replaced recently make sure the projector is turned off and cooled down then take off the inlet cover and remove the filter. Clean or replace per the instructions for the projector (and periodically as defined .. but taking into account the operating conditions). Once cleaned turn on the projector and feel the "normal" air current for future reference.
Heat is one of the major causes of projector failure, so make sure cooling vents (inlet and outlet) are not obstructed and filters are kept clean

Epson PowerLite 410W projector (used for a smart board in a classroom) won't project anything or even turn on. Power button (maybe lamp indicator light? I don't really know anything about this...)...

It seems you assume that it is not an overheating problem.
The problem is, the bulb gets really, really hot when using the projector. It doesn't matter whether it has been there without any usage. As you switch it on, it will start to get hot.
But the lamp or other parts of the projector should not get too hot. To control the temperature, air is moved through the projector with the help of fans. Air enters through air filters and move through the projector absorbing heat from hot parts. This prevents these parts from getting overheated.
But what if air doesn't flow freely? Then the parts CAN get overheated.
First, switch on the projector and check whether you can hear the fans working.
Next, switch off the projector and remove power cable.
After about 30 minutes, remove the cover and check whether the air filters are blocked. If they are, clean them with a small brush.
This would probably solve your problem.

What does it mean when that blinking green light turns to orange one in lp 350?

Hi
This would be "Standby"
When you press standby, the display and audio turn off and a blank screen is displayed for 15 minutes.
You can change the amount of time the projector stays in standby mode; see “Standby Time” on page 27 for details.
The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.
• If you press standby again within 15 minutes, the projector returns to normal operations immediately. The LED changes from orange to green.
• If you press standby again after 15 minutes, there is about a 60 second delay before the lamp turns back on. The LED flashes green while the lamp is re-lighting.
• If you don’t press standby again, the lamp turns off after 15 minutes. The LED lights orange while the projector is in standby.

I hope these help

Hitachi CP-x430 "Check air flow"

I have run in to this time and time again. This is why I like to keep things clean. take the bulb out and blow the unit out with air and make sure you wipe off what you can with Q-tips The blub allows air to flow thew the filament so what ever dust that might touch the fillament while its burning will burn at a higher temp. this will send and indication to the unit to send a message that says replace bulb soon and If there is not enough air flow it will say CHeck air flow take the fliter out and clean it with water dont replace it. IF you do just buy a carbon pad and cover the hole(not recomended foir those who are not handy) but keep things clean and it will save you $ in the long run. How many bulbs do you want to buy?

2. Check the cooling air circulation fan
3. See whether anything is blocking the air supply

Verify loose connection of power cable.

1. Check the cable outlet
2. Check for damage of power cable

See whether any message is displayed before switching off

1. Search on the error message
2. Try getting help on the error ID

I hope, this solves your problem
