Try a slim jim first, down the side of the window. Or AAA or locksmith. If no luck, remove the seat first. Find the screws and bolts around the door handle and arm rest. Most Ford's have screws around the outer side of the panel. I don't believe your's does. The panel lifts or pops off. Once the panel is off, you can reach down and open the door. Just a note. I have done some to where the panel came out in pieces.

SOURCE: driver sode door lock

The locking solenoid may need to be replaced, or the rod adjusted.
You will need to remove the door panel to watch the movement.
If the solenoid is not fully extending, it will require replacement.
It will look similar to this...

In the picture below, it will be #4

47cdcd4.gif Check the locking mechanism is lubricated properly. Try spraying some penetrating oil in the mechanism (just above 3 in the diagram) Wait 10 minutes, and re-try.
If the actuator does not fully extend, it will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: The door handle springs on my mercury mountaineer are broken

u can't replace just the springs, they are sold with the handle only, it is a dealer item, about $50.00 for part and $150.00 to install it.

SOURCE: I cannot open rear driver side door from inside or out.

Well you could take the door panel off and fool around with the lock till you get it to work. If you want to get lazy take a crow bar and open the door with that, but it will more than likely break the door. Sounds the lock seized up and will take you working to get it loose,

SOURCE: I have a 97 Mercury sable, and whenever it

I just had this problem yesterday, and after pulling in to a heated garage for just a minute it closed fine. Obviously we cant all do this, so get yourself a graphite powdered lubricant from your local parts store. It is a dry lubricant that will keep the latch moving, and since it is a dry powder, it will not freeze.

no the latch could be hanging up, the keyless entry pad has no mechanical connection, lube the latch area generously, ....even pull the highest bolt holding the latch in place and with the red nozzel spry into the bolt hole .....hold handle in up position and close door like ten times or more to work the lube into moving components....... make sure when this happens that the lock is fully rising to allow to open,
may need and actuator also if thats not occuring.

It sounds like the connecting rod popped out of its plastic connector. Pull the door panel off and check both ends of the rod. It must be unhooked at one end or the other.

2006 buick lucerne back doors won't open

My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

2007 Hyundai Accent the driver side door won't open from the inside. It opens from the outside so I have to roll down the window and open the door before i shut the engine off.

Either the interior door handle or the cable inside the door is broken. You'll need to remove the door panel and look to see what is damaged.

Outside handle on 1997 Toyota Avalon will not open door

Since you can get the door open, half the battle is already won. Yes, open the door, pull the interior door panel and take a look around. Watch inside with a flashlight (towards the rear of the door) as you roll the window down to see if you can see what it's snagged on.
