There could be a number of problems, one that the collection tank is not aligned properly. 2. Removable nozzle installed improperly. 3.Removable nozzle full of debris. 4 Red lint screen under collection tank clogged.
5.The collection tank is full. The answer to the first one is: Check tank alignment and secure with side latches. The answer to the second one is Unplug unit. Align two "hooks" into bottom first, then snap into place on top. The answer for third one is:Unplug unit. Remove nozzle and rinse under running water. The solution for 4. is:Remove debris from lint screen. And the solution for 5. is Empty tank
Vacuum slower to allow debris to get onto machine.keep the rainbow running for an additional minute or two when through to allow whatever is picked up to move completely through hose to water basin. It is like plumbing. If you stop the flow midstream it will stay there. Hope this helps.
First check the motor duct gasket. The motor duct gasket is visible once the tank is removed. It is located underneath the handle on the top of the base of the machine. It has a black rubber coating around it. If there is no suction there please let us know. If your machine does have suction at the duct, continue to check the following:
- Ensure the Ready Tools Dial is set to the appropriate setting (Floor Cleaning or Hose Attachments). - Remove the tank from the machine and ensure the tank lid is attached properly. The front window must first hook onto the lip of the bottom of the tank and then drape over the tank. Latch the bottom tank to the top tank lid. THIS LID CANNOT BE ATTACHED PROPERLY IF THE TANK IS NOT REMOVED FROM THE MACHINE. - Make sure the Water Tank is not full on the outside of the bladder. If it is, empty the tank. - Ensure the hose is firmly attached to the back of the machine. If not, re-insert as necessary by twisting into place. - The machine must be in an upright, locked position and set to the Hose Attachment setting. If the handle is slightly tilted back while using, it will create a small gap at the suction inlet (where handle meets gasket, above the Bottom Tank) which will cause little or no suction. - Check the red Tank Lint Screen for debris. If the Lint Screen is dirty, the unit will have poor suction. Clean the Lint Screen if necessary. - If the float flap door in the tank lid is activating prematurely when you turn the machine on, this flap door should be replaced. This tank may need to be emptied. - Check the Tank Lid and Tank for damage.
Have you checked for the sprayer nozzles under the clear vacuum housing are not plugged with some foreign debris, carpet fibre buildup etc. Place the unit on bare floor and engage/turn on the motor/pump and pull the trigger/switch? No water? Check also that the hose/attachment wands have water or not? If they are operating then the nozzles to the carpet off the main unit may need to be cleared by using a pin (Safely) se if there is no foreign debris in sprayer nozzle. I have seen soap solution gone crystalized and the minute pieces clog up the on board prefilter and yet somehow clogs the nozzles as well. you may have to take the top of the unit off (approx. 6 screws) and see if there is water flow or maybe a kink in water /sprayer/nozzle line. Good luck
Possible Causes Remedies ReadyTools Dial may be at the wrong setting for the cleaning job <> Set ReadyTools <> Dial to either Tools / PreTreat or Floor Cleaning. Nozzle Window may not be properly attached. <> Press down firmly on the black oval gasket at the top Window to make sure the two tabs on the back of the Nozzle Window are snapped into the mating slots in the main housing. Tank-in-Tank lid is not installed <> Re-install lid; Tank lint filter is blocked <> remove all lint and debris from Tank lint screen. Tank-in-Tank is not properly seated. <> Tank-In-Tank must be firmly seated to function; remove and reseat Tank-in-Tank. Poor tool position (Hand held attachments only). <> Adjust angle; apply more downward pressure. Tank-in-Tank has picked up maximum dirty water <> Empty Tank-in-Tank Front Clear Floor Nozzle Window ids blocked <> Remove window and clean all fibres and debris then replace. Insufficient suction <> Clean Pre and Post Motor Filters.
You are over sudsing your recovery tank. The machine is made to shut off the air flow if water starts to be pulled into the motor, but bubbles want trigger that. So if there are a lot of bubbles in your recovery tank, the get sucked into the motor (Which will destroy it eventually) and then the moisture gets exhausted onto the floor from the motor.
Solutions
1. Use less soap (Read the directions, you may be using too much)
2. Use a different kind of soap (The concentration might not be right for your machine)
3. Use a defoamer (Rug Doctor has a defoamer)
