Help my SMEG KSED65X-1 Kitchen hood blows air out and does not extract. What is wrong?

Moved into an old house and cooker hood is not working. When check both sides of the extractor fan it is blowing into the kitchen not out of the wall hole.

SOURCE: Smeg P580 range hood

Hold the fan button down for a couple of seconds and it will turn off.

Lift out the filter and access the bulb from inside.

Smeg suk91mfx shelves not fitting anymore on oven.

buy a pack of 2 oven shelf guards from lakeland 10.99. cut them in half and slide onto the ends of the 2 shelves. works perfectly.

How does one clean the extractor fan itself

You can clean the outside with warm soapy water and dry off with a clean cloth. The filters inside can be replaced for new ones.

The flue fits through the wall and fits to the vent on the outside, the vent should be screwed to the outside wall.

the fan element would have blown. it is not uncommon for an element to trip an rcd when it blows. you are on the right track, if you replace the element all your problems should go away
