SOURCE: Banging Noise
If is sounds like a hollow metallic sound then the compressor is likely out of position os the unit has been mis-treated. if this is the case then the compressor will have to be changed (should be a 5 or 10 year wty) If is i a light sounding tap then it is likely to be some of the copper tubing is hitting the chassis. There is a metal or plastic cover that runs along the back lower part of the fridge, remove this and gently rock the fridge to see if you can re-create the noise.
SOURCE: Ice Maker Making Noise
sounds like your icemaker is jammed.
first ofall just feel around the icemaker and see if you can find a peice of ice jamming it that you can remove. if that doesnt work heat it up with a blow dryer until any ice that is there will melt away and it will free up..
there is one other possibility: the stripper could be jammed against the side of the icemaker in which case you'll have to remove the icemaker from the refrig and unjam it..
hope that helps and good luck

I hear two things here or do I? I'm thinking the motor driver has stripped gears. Empty the ice from the tray so it will demand more. Using the door switch, fool the unit into thinking it is closed. Observe what you can about what is going on. Take appropriate steps to repair. Watch your fingers.
SOURCE: FREEZER SOUNDS VERY NOISY
I turn off the power of refrigerator for 24 hours and defrost the frezzer. The noisy sound stopped. I think sometimes we did not close refrigerator tightly, the ice built up caused the problem.
SOURCE: Kenmore Elite Trio makes creaking/groaning sounds
I have a Kenmore Elite Trio and the freezer was making a
frog sound. I found the solution.
My model number is 596.75523400. The sound will stop when the freezer is
opened. It will stop again when the
freezer drawer is open and the light switch is pressed to turn off the
light. The ice drawer was full but it
had stopped making ice.
Here is the fix in less than 10 minutes using only a
screwdriver.
