Is the sound coming from the speakers? (do you hear it with the sound turned off)
Either an audio problem if heard only with sound up or if a buzz with sound off it is a coil or transformer on the circuit board vibrating hard enough to produce the noise.
Both are fixable but require different tactics to resolve.

its not the speakers-i have a decent volume coming out;it just makes an intermitent buzzing noise...sort of how a resturant calls you to the waiters box when its time to be seated.....(
when the sound is 'muted' it still intermitently goes: buzzzz,buzzz...and repeats untili turn off the tv...:(
It does not happen often but in 30 years I have seen it maybe two dozen times.
Some sets the buzz will be so loud the pets will not stay in the room---what you have almost 100% is a part like a coil or a transformer that is not bad but is vibrating hard enough to create the sound.
The usual way to repair is to catch it doing it and locate it either with a microphone or by pressing gently on specific areas of the board.
The cure is if a small coil with wire wrapped around it to use super glue to harden the coil and eliminate the sound.
If it is a transformer usually once located hot glue will remove the issue.
All this is predicated on having set open and on and being able to locate the part causing this.
In either case it poses no safety issue but is just annoying.
I carried a tiny microphone I could hook up to a scope and actually get to see the buzz.
As far as repair--may or may not be worth it if problem does not occur long.
To give you an idea I had a customer (Home service call) with a big screen that you could hear it from 20 feet away (large living room with vaulted ceiling)
With back off I found problem was one of two small square transformers----the fix ended up being inserting a rubber wedge between the two and that was the end of the trouble.
Good luck and hope all this information was of some help.
it is TYT...as the sound doesnt either affect picture or sound to my tv...thanks again!
