I have a AF Nikkor 70-210 which I use with a DSRL camera. But I want to buy a analogic one. Should I buy an AF one, or the lens will still full working (including the autofocus) with a manual one, like a FG-20 (the one i'm considering)?

The sensor on the D80 is smaller than a piece of 35mm film. This means the camera will only use the center portion of the image cast by the lens. This reduces the angle of view, effectively increasing the focal length. The 35-70mm will give you an angle of view similar to a 52-105mm lens on a film camera. Likewise the 70-210mm lens will give you an angle of view similar to a 105-315mm lens.

Yes. The smaller sensor of the D3000 will make it the equivalent of about a 105-315mm lens on a 35mm film or full-frame digital camera. Also, the autofocus will not work with the D3000.

That lens will work with the D3100, except for the autofocusing. In order to autofocus with the D3100, you need AF-S lenses, such as the AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED or the

You'll see that no 50mm Nikon lens has ever had VR.

Make sure you set the aperture ring on the lens to its smallest setting (largest f/number) and lock it. Without doing so, the lens will not communicate properly with the camera and thus you will not get the autofocusing.

Yes, it will work just fine. I have this lens and my father has basically the same camera (D40) and it works just fine with this lens.
