If your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
if you dont have a motherboard disk you will need to download the sound drivers

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers

click start control panel sounds and audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the
(appropriate speakers) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settings there

click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it
hope this helps

SOURCE: x-540 speakers no sound rear speakers

rear speakers are not designed to put out the same output as fronts. They are for supplemental sound only, to make it seem like there's something happening behind you.

SOURCE: no sound

FOR MACS... Last February(08) I bought the V20 Logitech speakers for my Apple iBook laptop. I got them to work. Hadn't used them for about a year and had forgotten how to get the sound to emerge. I went to System Preferences. Clicked on Sound. I had plugged in the USB. Didn't show up. Unplugged it and plugged in again and there it was! I clicked on it and the sound came through immediately. So wait to plug in the speakers until you have opened Sound. (And Pandora (superb Internet radio station) is playing flawlessly.) I am not familiar with PCs. Sorry.

I hv windows xp installed in my computer...i bought logitech s-150 usb digital speaker and its not working on my computer...plz help me out...

Sis you connect it to the right port of the computer system?
NOTE right port is the port with the green colour, then asie that is your system speaker working with another speaker ?
if not then you have to install your sound driver first there after try using you speaker and you are good to go,

if all this option are not working, you have to check your device very well.

My logitech x240 surround powers on but no sound comes out....what could be the problem??

If you have an extra headset around, plug it into the same place the speakers are plugged into, if it works, your speakers are bad (or check to make sure the power light is on on them and that their volume knob is turned up).
If you still do not get sound, click on your little volume/speaker icon by your clock, then click 'mixer' at the bottom of it (Windows 7 hopefully?). Make sure the different volume controls are turned up because sometimes one low one will affect the entire system.
(If Windows XP, right-click the speaker, then 'Open Volume Control'. Adjust until you hear sound.)

None of the speakers in the shystem work. Amplifier seems dead

Hello there!

Well, here we got a few things to check
1) Type os sound card you got, 5.1 , 6.1 7.1??
2) Depending on your system windows Xp or Vista? adjust in control panel , the speaker mode, for above configutarions. example: for 5.1 surroung sound .
3) verify if you on bios disable the on board sound, back conections , and the mixer is enable, and nothing on mute. **
that's it!

Logitech x530

I have had this a few times with customers. You might want to check if the sound cards front speaker ports are working correctly. If the card is working, the problem might be with your right front speaker, ckech that it is working. You might also want to check the settings in control panel; this has helped me a number of times.

cheers
