Conversion ok I finally got SVA on the phone and heres what I found out. the SVA HD4208Tiii-PDP can only get 1080i res. using a 15pin VGA to 15pin VGA cable from the TV's VGA YPbPr port to a STB VGA port. the Comcast STB which has 1080i, 720p, 480p res has the following Ports - DVI, HDMI, RCA component, UBS, presently I use a 15pin VGA to RCA cable from the TV VGA YPbPr port to the STB RCA component port and get 720p res. the question now is; are there any products on the market that will convert the comcast 1080i compnent signal to the SVA 1080i VGA ? man why can't they make everything standard

    Is Stoney talking about getting High Def from his SVA TV? I am having the same problem. We have direct TV High def receiver but the installer said he only sees one port for the 480i, nothing for the 1080... any suggestions?

If you had this problem from Day one, you should go directly who you bought it from and see what they can do for you for the company info or service agent.

You Need a new Power Supply, part # LJ44-00025A
buy it here for $139 http://www.adc-ast.com/
I have my tv working like new.
If you want this time the power supply last, do not turn off, just press tv/video button to switch input source, let the tv in sleep mode.

Sounds like a faulty power supply, most probably caused by a power surge or the likes.

Is there a remote for SVA PDP HD4208TIII that is a universal remote or would I have to buy the original one for approx $40 ish ????
There are universal remotes that seem to be able to operate almost anything, available at stores, but I don't know how much you would save over the $40 original... The Universal remote could be used with a new TV when you replace this one, though.

Lost remote
You can try to buy a new remote from www.remotes.com and see if they can ship it overseas. The unit that you need is an SVA-U01. Good luck.

Can not get closed captioning to turn off
You have to use your SVA remote controll to access the CLOSED CAPTION function to turn it off ....as I just found out myself by the Wiz..... ;)
