OH JOY! I just KNEW the answer to this issue would be along those lines. I wonder where I could take it to have it fixed. It's still under "warranty" which does me a fat lot of NO GOOD now that SI is BK. The place that is handling SI's warranties won't honor original manufacturer's warranty... only if you purchased extended and WHO DOES THAT????!!!! OH JOY! If you are talking about the 2 thin wires inside the unit, it can be fixed if you are good with taking things apart. You have to do an almost complete tear-down of all the internal components (many hidden screws). You can replace the broken wire with a .009 or .008 gauge E string for an electric guitar. This can be found at a local musical instrument store. The string must be cut to almost the exact length. The wire has a spring tension mount on a small circuit board. If the replacement wire is too long, there will be too much slack, too short and you will not be able to put it back together. I did this and it took me hours. I removed about 80 screws to disassemble it.

These are special tungsten wire that have special ends on them to hold in place. I have some of that wire, but do not know how the ends are made to make replacements. I doubt that you can find parts for these units.
The company went under and doesn't service them anymore. It's possible you could find a local repair place that might be able to do something, but there is no authorized or trained service station, and you can't get parts.
You might be able to pick up spare parts if you scour eBay long enough.
The high-voltage grid wire(s) most likely broke -- unfortunately, there is no good remedy for this -- I have repaired a half dozen of these units by replacing the grid wires with titanium wire. This is a very time-consuming, complicated, nerve-wracking repair -- not recommended. Even if the reapair is done, the unit will likely fail again, soon.
When my reapired units failed, I got units off E-Bay -- they didn't last very long either.
I'm now in the market for a more rugged ozone-generating air purifier.
Mine is a Pro-series Quadra. It needed better cleaning.
The front and rear plastic grill scome off (release catch at the bottom of each), allowing access to the central core. I cleaned it with a damp rag (let it dry before you turn it back on). Be very careful of the two wires running the length of the unit -- if you break these it will not work. I did, however, gently clean them.
When I restarted it there was an unusual smell for a few minutes, but all is working well again.
had the same problem with ionic pro ca500. i took the unit apart and found a fuse that was blown and it works now. sorry but i don't know if there is any repair shops.
