A firmware update for your model addresses the "printhead error" on your printer. First, get rid of error message on the display screen to successfully update your printer firmware.Open the cover to remove the printhead and tanks (if installed). Note: Carrier will come to the center automatically with this error message as the cover is opened.
Then proceed with the firmware update. Please visit the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/s405fw to download and install the firmware update.

'unable to print 73' is a Printhead error..

Usually the printhead is an expensive part around $80 to $110, and you will need a full set of cartridges to prime the new printhead..

Sorry to say that this repair is not normally economical to go ahead with.

Unable to lnit. 4f keeps showing up on display
Usually this indicates a problem with the printhead or carriage pcb. I would try replacing printhead first, but they are not cheap. Also, lift scanner up and closely inspect inside for foreign objects or paper scraps that may obstruct movement of the carriage assembly.

Solid red indicator on panel display. Error message displayed - Fault 37005,41:154334. printer unable to print.
It sounds like your Model number is a 8500 or 8560 series.

Unfortunately, this error code means that the Printhead is defective-- Reservoir # 1 is not drawing power from the supply.

Brother MFC-465CN printer Error code 51 unable to print
Usually this is caused by a foreign object or debris under the printhead path, or under where the printhead "parks."

Unplug the machine. Open the cover. Check the printhead path for little bits of paper, push pins, paperclips, staples etc. Note the location of the printhead.

If the printhead is at the far left, gently slide it towards the center (do not force it). Look carefully under where the printhead was stopped for debris. Use a flashlight if necessary.

Close the cover. Plug in the unit. Try again.

Brother MFC 210C Machine error 41
Error 41 refers to the printheads which is a common problem with Brother machines. The printheads will need to be replaced. On some machines, Brother has extended the warranty to cover printheads because of the excessive failure rate. Contact Brother to see if you qualify and they may send you new printheads along with easy instructions to replace them. Also please rate this solution with a fixya rating. Thanks!

your dcp needs a new waist ink tank (absorber).

Search brother homepage of your country for a service dealer near your home and buy an ink absorber. post here again when done. will give you the instruction then.

Error message print unable 50
the encoder strip which gives the printhead the position is out of place (error 50). You have to open the printer and reinsert the strip:

Stick a 1.5 inch tape onto the printhead cover where the strip runs thru. This will prevent this accident in future!
