SOURCE: maxi cosi belt protectors

The supplier to John Lewis, Dorel, will ship the maxi cosi loose belt protectors out to you at a cost of £10.

Contact Dorel at:
http://www.dorel.co.uk/contact-us/

Alternatively, call your local John lewis branch and they will be more than happy to contact their suppliers for you.

I called mothercare, and they were not too helpful - the fobbed me off and said call halfords or John Lewis.

How old or big a baby do you use the Maxi Dozi Insert for?

Hi,
You can remove the lumbar support pillow when you feel baby needs more space - its needed for a newborn baby to keep them flatter, but once they need more room (normally around 4 months old) you can remove it.
The headhugger should be left in place as long as possible for maximum protection in a side impact - the lumbar support cushion can be removed as demonstrated in the attached image. 63b213ad-9ec6-430e-b5b7-1f46713b6684.jpg

Do you know where I can get a replacement filling block to make it flatter for a newborn in the maxi cosi infant seat?

Good Afternoon

The lumbar support wedge (the sponge section to sit under the newborn) is not available as a seperate spare part item.

To obtain a replacement, you'd need to purchase an entire replacement fabric set, and the lumbar support wedge comes as part of the headhugger.

If you're in the UK, please go to your nearest Maxi Cosi retailer to ask them to order the fabrics on your behalf.

If you're not in the UK please go to www.maxi-cosi.com and use the "Contact Us" tab to get in touch with the customer service department in your area and ask them for availability and costs on replacement.

Where can I buy a new shell and newborn headhugger for a maxi-cosi cabriofix?

Hi Claire - When we say the 'shell' of a carseat we mean the black plastic carseat itself, without polystyrene or fabrics: This is not available as a spare part item to purchase.
The newborn headhugger is not available as a seperate spare part item. It comes as part of a complete replacement fabric set which is RRP 60GBP and can be ordered via your local Maxi Cosi retailer or direct from the customer service department on 01284 413 141 Mon-Fri 8.30-4.30. If purchased direct there is p+p charge of 3.99GBP additional.

Ive got a maxi cosi cabrio fix - i washed the headhugger/bottom support cushion that comes out (for when they are tiny) and the material has torn and the foam inner has come out - can i get a replacement...

Hi,

It is normal for the headhugger to be attached to a peice of fabric lower down that contains the newborn foam cushion, this fabric is usually open so that the foam can be removed for washing.
If you want to purchase a new part, contact the link below, who will be able to assist.

I hope this helps.

My daughter is only 18lb's but seems too tall for the maxi cosi cabriofix. when can she move in to her maxi cosi axiss???

Hi,

You should keep your child in her Cabrio carseat unless she exceeds 13kg OR her head is higher than the back of the carseat. Make sure that you have removed the newborn support and head hugger too as this can free up a lot of space.
If she is too tall for the Cabrio and is at least 9kg and can sit un-aided for 20 mins, she can move up to the next seat (group 1), this would be the axiss.

I hope this helps.

I have maxi cosi car seat, the head hugger ia part of the bum cushion. can this whole section be removed without comprimising the safety of the seat?

Hi,

Yes you can remove the head support and newborn cushion from the Cabrio and this will not comprimise any safety. These parts are mainly used for when baby is very small.

I hope this helps.

I got given a maxi-cosi newborn, brown and red car seat but it did not come with the head hugger and the strap covers.

Hi,

This sounds like a Maxi Cosi Cabrio Fix in the colourway Indian Spice perhaps???? If you need the head hugger and should pads to match, I would suggest that you contact www.maxi-cosi.com who will be able to sell these parts to you. Do also mention that you also need the Newborn Support (as this is probably missing too) this is a wedge foam that sits under baby's bottom to make the angle of the carseat is a little more gentle.

I hope this helps.
