Acer Orbitcam does not work.

check if the webcam is detected on device manager. close all programs which utilize webcam and reinstall webcam driver and obicam software.

It is an acer issue. Thier webcams have lots of issues. One suggested fix is to check if there are any files in the pictures folder, if there are remove them. I know it sounds weird, but it works for some models

Hey there, have a look here, just select the model of your Notebook and it will give a you a list of drivers, you just need to select which ever one you need.

I have a chance to get an Hitachi DZ-580A camcorder but the software won't work on my operating system (Windows 7). What can I do?

Start the software which came with the webcam/laptop. There should be an option there to take a still/picture. This can then be saved and sent to your friend.

check if the orbicam driver is installed properly through device manager and find imaging devices under it you should see the webcam installed if there's a webcam installed but with an exclamation point beside it you should reinstall with the cd driver which should be included when you bought that webcam just ask me if you have questions regarding the installation

well..unfortunately, that orbitcam is the weak link in acer laptops..i recommend a usb webcam, which will last much longer and is more versatile..

try this>> go to run >> enter AMCAP then if nothing happens check your control panel for webcam settings
