Stop the pendulum, On the front of the cuckoo clock hands is a nut, undo the nut and gently take off the minute hand only. At the back of the minute hand is a brass insert, very gently try and turn this insert very gently, then replace the hand and fasten. Take the minute hand, turn to the half past and let it cuckoo, then take it to the hour and see how close you are. Very small movements at a time!!!! ALWAYS MOVE THE MINUTE HAND CLOCKWISE ONLY!!!!!!! Cuckoo and action doesn't work

Is this a mechanical cuckoo, or an electronic? If mechanical, probably the strike mechanism is jammed. You might barely, HEED: just barely pull on the weight a tiny bit and see if this does anything. If not, time to get it serviced. If it is an electronic cuckoo, check batteries and contacts.

My clock will only run with added weight on the clock chain. I added the cuckoo bird weight to the clock weight chain and it keeps good time. If I remove the added weight it will stop.

I think your clock needs to be lubricated. A special light weight oil in a syringe will do the job. Just a little bit will Do.

I have a cuckoo clock . Time is 11 and the cuckoo chimes 8 times . What do I do? It's a non mechanical clock

If the clock is chiming like this it means that the hour hand is out. GENTLY loosen the hands, place the hour hand on the hour that the clock has chimed then fasten the hands in place. Gently move the minute hand clockwise Only, and check each hour that it strikes right. If the cuckoo has a button at the back use that instead. For more information email me at [email protected]

Timing is off bad on the cuckoo part of the clock. It won't stop and runs till the weight hits the ground.

We had the problem with ours when I was a kid. What we did on ours was to turn the hands until the clock cuckoos. Then we removed the hands from the stem and placed them back at the correct time. Hopefully, you can remove the hands from the stem without a problem. Don't force it however. Good luck.

How to sync. an old Black Forest cuckoo clock.

Suppose the cuckoo is calling three and the time is showing eleven, then to synchronize, simply stop the clock till the time is the same as the bird (three) and restart the clock at that time.

If the error persisys, then pull off the hour hand, and replace it at the synchonized time.

remove the batheries and then advance the mintue hand slowly until you hear a clicking noice then remove both the hour and minute hand and place both at 12 oclock high postion advance the minute hand again to confirm you hear the click noise when the minute hand is at 12 and the hour hand is at 1. then replace batteries and the clock should cuckoo properly on each hour,,,,,best regards
