I just purchased and a frigidaire gas stove and had it professionally installed. When i turn the oven on to any temp above 250 it begins to make a loud whirring sound. What should i do - is it the gas hook up - or is it the stove.
I agree with the previous comment, however, if you installed it yourself contact the manufacturer immediately. Here is the customer service number for Frigidaire 800-374-4432 M-F 9:00am - 5:30pm

You don't give a lot of info here (like if the range was converted from natural to LP, or if the burners are OK, or if it is a self clean model and how the broil works, etc) and I can't guess all that, especially because a lot of people post under whatever model pops up when they enter a key word while posting a problem, but,..........
Any range that was professionally installed should have been tested for proper burner and oven operation by the installer before they left. Call the installer back and let them know you are not satisfied.
Thank you for your post, friend!
I understand that your Frigidaire range made a loud pop while in operation and lost power. I noticed you stated that the stove top is working and you have changed out the control board but the oven is not working. It could be a possibility that your terminal block or wiring harness has shorted. I would recommend contacting a professional technician to come out and perform a diagnosis and repair on your range. This will help to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
