Robotic sound on samsung p2!

Recently my p2 has been randomly playing a robotic sound over the top of songs. It only stops when I pause the player and play again, but sometimes it just comes back. It is worse on some songs.
Please help, the sound is so annoying.

I've got the same problem. Seems mostly confined to songs which were bootlegged/live recordings and then downloaded. Don't have this problem with songs ripped from CDs I have.

THANK YOU i can't believe the solution was so simple!

There is a new firmware 5.10 which should fix it. Now only to figure you out how to upload the new firmware since EmoDio does not see it.

Here are the firmware notes for 5.10

Actually that has nothing to do with the program. My gosh everybody seems to be breaking the same piece for this model. It's most likely going to be caused by a crack or a break of some sort in the earphone jack.

SVE1112M1E headphone problem

When your PC plays music or video, what type of sound output do you get; normal or robotic?

If its normal, you may have to test/try out another headphones and connect/plug in to your PC and listen once again to the output sound.

Is it same as your previous headphones is; sounding robotic or is it normal?

Normal sound output in the new headphones (not your previous headphone), you know the answer.

Robotic sound output with the second headphones? You mahave to reload the drivers if this'd help.

However, simply hope problem is not with your PC's sound jack

Pauses randomly during films, all front buttons play/pause the dvd

Maybe one or more buttons jammed or wet inside.
Try opening front panel and clean the contacts. If problem persists then it is the buttons controller IC/PCB faulty.

Wont play the whole song

Hello,

Sounds like the player is running in INTRO mode, only playing the first part of each song. To change playback mode, follow the steps as described below.

Switch the player ON and start music playback:
1. Press PLAY button to START music to play
2. Press PLAY button again to PAUSE the playback
3. Press MODE button to enter playback mode selection
4. Scroll with MODE button through selections
5. Press MODE button when selection REPEAT is in the display
6. Use MODE button to select from: Normal, Repeat One, Repeat
within current Folder (if any), Repeat Folders (if any), Repeat
All songs, Random Play back, and Intro
7. Press MODE button to confirm selection

How do I access shuffle mode??

I think I found the solution... to get into the "playing mode" submenu, a song has to be playing when you hit the mode select button. Otherwise, if a song is stopped/paused, you get the "stop mode" menu.

Once in the "playing mode" menu, select "repeat", and then scroll all the way to the right to get the shuffle/random mode.
