Sound cuts out periodically

Sound comes through normally when TV is turned on. However, it starts cutting in and out periodically, for longer and longer times. Sound comes back briefly (a word or a sentence) then goes away again. Tapping the set sometimes brings the sound back for a short while.

Sounds like a poor or cold solder connection in the sound circuit. If your not a tech, this repair really should not cost an arm and a leg to repair , but maybe your first born??LOLOL No really if you have no solid state repair experience please seek out a local repair person to assist you in this repair.

Celcus tv sound cutting out

Gate7, your main board in the TV may be bad and may need to be replaced. Try this RE SET procedure first, turn the TV on so you have a picture, then
while it is on unplug it. Wait 5 mins and plug it back in.

Red power lights blinks and tv will cut off. sometimes after you unplug it it will come on after about 10 min. now it will not come on unless you unplug it and then it will work about 5 min and cut off...

depending on the age of your tv, this appears to be a common issue. Blame it on the ballast board. your ballast might not be able to provide the lamp w/ enough voltage to keep the image on for longer period of times. or it could simply be that you need a new tv lamp.

Tv cuts off and on no picture or sound

Most TV shut downs like this are HEAT related.Try increased cooling with a fan blowing into it to test this on yours. If it works leave the fan running or repair with a nice little but strong computer fan placed behind the unit..

No picture but has sound

The problem can be caused by a bad sustain board (Ysus Zsus) , the popping sound is often caused by a capacitor blowing up.
The TV must be taken apart and tested before eventually replacing sustain boards.
