I've tried running my machine machine without the cap to drain the rinse agent/crud/etc. that might be causing it not to fill the port properly (rinse aid just stands; only six to ten drops can be added). I think something must be clogged, so I've run a dishwashing machine cleaner made by Jet Dry, which seemed to shake a lot of scale and film from the inside of the washer, but still, the rinse agent port will not fill. The dial inside the rinse aid fill port is turned to the max level (to help maximize the amount of whatever is in the port to wash out with each cycle - or at least that's what I was hoping it'd do). How can I flush this port without ripping the machine apart?
Well, you don't have to rip the WHOLE machine apart, just the door! Usually takes about 6 to 8 screws (using a T15 torx screw driver). Depending on the model, you might only need to take off the lower half of the door (all below the control console), or you might have to take out all the door screws. Then remove the detergent dispenser (6 more screws, this time a 3/16" hex head). Then you can remove the wires to it (unplug the DW first!), and pop the dispenser out. Take it over to your sink and turn it upside down and shake it. You might try running hot water over the inlet port to clear up any dried-up residue. You will probably get some water into areas you don't want (like the coil and connectors), but when you are done, you can use a can of compressed air (or "duster" cans) to blow the water out. If that doesn't work, then you will probably need to replace the whole dispenser; but hey, you're already halfway there - you've removed the old dispenser. You can buy new dispensers at SearsPartsDirect.com, RepairClinic.com, EasyApplianceParts.com or AppliancePartsPros.com.

If the dispenser is leaking, it's probably because of a faulty cap, or faulty or missing seal in the cap. And if you can't add any rinse-aid to the resevoir, It's probably full of water (which leaked in through the same faulty seal).
This sounds like the dishwasher got the wrong type of soap. It is a real problem to get the wrong soap rinsed out..follow the directions given by the repairman..it may take 5 or 6 cycles... The jet dry is just an extra in this issue...it will be okay when the soap is fully rinsed out.
May be the drain pump is jammed. Try to clean the area and after that try to reset the panel. Download the user manual and there must be the reset sequence.
Water will not drain from machine
1.kinked or clogged hose----clean drain hose
2.pump does not run----readjust & tighten pump-drive mechanism
3.suds lock----remove suds,, add cold water
4.faulty transfer valve---replace
5.defective timer----replace
6.loose belt---adjust belt
Your dishwasher has been designed to use a liquid rinse aid. Pouring a liquid rinse aid into the proper recepticle in your dishwasher when you add dish detergent greatly improves drying performance. You can further improve drying performance by selecting the Sanitize option, in addition to the other options you've selected, and increasing the water temperature. For Best Results, use Jet-Dry Turbo
Spots and film form in your dishwasher's rinse cycle, when detergents are already down the drain. FINISH® JET-DRY® Rinse Agent works in the rinse cycle, lowering the surface tension of water and causing it to sheet. Better rinsing results in less spots and film.

Hi there, it sounds like your drain pump is not working. Tip the washing machine back and look underneath. The drain pump has a little black fan on it. Disconnect the hose to see if there's anything stuck in the drain, like coins, hair clips etc. Clear out the pump and remember to reconnect the hose securely before trying out the washing machine.

*Film is due to either etching or silica film. Silica film is a milky, rainbow-colored deposit and etching is a cloudy film. Sometimes there is a water/chemical reaction with certain types of glassware. o Silica film and etching are permanent and cannot be removed. Both can occur in any automatic dish washing machine and result from a water/chemical reaction with certain types of glassware. They are caused by some combination of: +Soft or softened water. +Alkaline washing solution. +Insufficient rinsing. +Dishwasher overloading. +Heat of drying. +Long/hot cycles.
To slow the down this process:
*Use a minimum amount of detergent but not less than 1 tablespoon per load. *Use a liquid rinse aid. *Under load the dishwasher to allow thorough rinsing. *Do not use heated drying. *Wash glasses by hand.
Do the following:
1. do you use a rinse agent 2. clean out the drain. 3. if you have a food disposal, run hot water through it and turn it on to clear it out before you turn on the dishwasher. The dishwasher drains into that sink. If you notice food or dirty water backing up into you sink when the dishwasher is draining, then the sink could have a minor clog and is backing up and being re-sprayed onto your dishes. Source(s): Use SANIVAC to clean lime deposits and extend the life of your dishwasher. If you have heavy water.
Run your dishwasher empty and pour in a cup of bleach and a cup of white vinegar to get the residue out.....run a regular cycle.......How hot is your hot water tank set on? The hotter the water the better a dishwasher washes and rinses, be careful it's not to hot as your shower and other sinks also will get this hot water......cut your dish soap down and make sure to use a Jet Rinse Aid. Again, be sure to use a liquid soap, and rinse agent, powders will cause a caustic reaction. Hope this helps. Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. JimmyC
Make sure that the drain hose is connected as per manufacturer instructions, and that there isn't a direct run down from the sink u-bend to the machine.
The rinse agent effects dishes dry but has nothing with the water remaining in the machine.
Good luck!
