Date & time reset

Everytime I switch off my Nokia 6300, the date & time are reset to 0:00 a.m. and 01-01-2007. What do I need to do to maintain the current date & time?

I enabled automatic update of time & date... when phone was switched off and then on again, the time remained the same as when it was switched off. No change...

Time/date won't retain

The camera's internal date/time "backup" battery is supposed to maintain the date/time for about 3 weeks with the camera turned off. If the camera is not used for a longer period, the date/time will need to be reset. If you are having to reset sooner than that, it is likely that the internal battery (not user replacable on most models) has failed.

I have to reset the date and time on my Coolpix L810 everytime that I change the batteries. Why do I have to do this?

The L810 has a small internal long-life battery for maintaining the date, time and other settings. This battery should not be confused with the batteries you use for general camera operation. Like all batteries, that memory back-up battery has a finite life span. You will need to have a camera repair man replace it.

Kyocera M410 resets date and time when changing batteries

There are tiny Li batteries to maintain the short term memory for interim period. Normally they last very long but unexpected can be expected. You may not have enough tools to open it & reach there. Either go to camera repair or just entering it everytime or give it to the kids & buy new one instead of repair.. [email protected]

Everytime i have to set the time & date

Its because your battery is removed.......to keep the date and time intact there must
be some extra charge to keep it going like CMOS battery in computer...
If your battery is removed then the clock will be reset....

Time & date reset

Very often the date/time is maintained by a very small watch type battery built into the main board - there is no opportunity to replace this.
